Good alternative but...
There is a lot of info. Out there about how hydraquinone is really bad but if you are fighting the good fight it is the gold standard and nothing works like it. This helps but will not clear up like its professional friend but still good option if your are steering clear or trying to decrease your use of hydraquinone.

Arbutin is common in Asian skincare brands.
I purchase a lot of skincare in Asian stores. I know that arbutin ingredient is bread and butter for most imported international skincare brands from Asian countries. When I shop at Hmart or Grand Mart or Lotte supermarkets the boutiques, where they sell Asian cosmetics have shelves full of various Asian skincare brands. Arbutin is always on labels and ingredient lists of many Asian skincare creams, lotions, and serums. However, if Asians benefit from arbutin ingredients, I am sure my skin will benefit from this product. I used this product for three weeks and my dark circles and acne scars look better now thanks to this product!

Hoping this is what it's cracked up to be!
I am new to Obagi products, but have read many reviews and am hopeful this is going to be as amazing as I have heard. I don't like the scent, but if this works like I've heard, it may be worth it. I've been putting a moisturizer on top of this to mask the scent. So far, my skin feels softer and a bit brighter, so I feel like something is happening.....

Super Stinky
The smell honestly makes me gag. I took it back to the Dr's office I'd purchased it from - maybe this one was messed up? But no, they opened another one and it was gross too. I'm sensitive to smells, but not wildly so. Plus, I use several Obagi products, including Clear, and have no problem with them.
