Obagi's Physical Defense Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 50 offers protection from (HEV) visible light (VIS) and infrared rays (IR) and damaging free-radicals known to speed up the aging process. Lightweight and mineral-based, this sheer sunscreen is powered by titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to help protect against UVA and UVB rays, while antioxidants defend against free radical damage.

Worked well in Hawaii
This link, prompting me to review the product I purchased, shows a picture of the tinted version, which I did not purchase. I purchased the non-tinted version to wear in tropical sun while on vacation in Hawaii. I have had skin cancer in the recent past and knew I needed a better sunscreen protection for that type of equatorial sun. It get's a 4 out of 5 stars only because it still leaves you looking a bit "chalky." It is true to it's claim that it smooths on in a sheer way, and does not "feel chalky," at all, but no matter what they say, it still gives you a slight whitish cast on the skin. However, as a sunscreen goes, I did not burn at all on my chest and face, so it gets very high marks for that. I might try the tinted version next round and see if it eliminates that chalk look. I am appreciative of the fact it is non-oily, because even as a middle aged adult, the skin on my face is still somewhat oily and reacts poorly with breakouts to sunscreens that are not non-comedogenic.

Another Excellent Facial SPF
Truly a another great facial SPF. Lightweight, easy application with zero white cast. Unscented, non-irritating. The list goes on. I carry this in my purse and will apply it throughout the day. I also like to use this on my neck, décolletage and on my hands. My skin is very sensitive and fair and this has never irritated or cause any issues for me. I use this and the SPF 50 option, I live in a sunny, dry state and I have found them both excellent at protection and actually hydrating. This is a great option if the tint in the SPF 50 isn't your thing. I have no hesitation with recommending both of these to anyone.
