Expensive Vaseline with tint

I have used neocutis for about 10 years and am shocked by the new formulation for journee firm riche cream.   It is very thick and feel greasy like Vaseline.  It doesn’t seem to absorb  into my skin and it is difficult to apply.  Looks like an uneven makeup application.  May work for someone with very very dry skin.

New formula with ingredient change

Journee day cream was recently reformulated by Neocutis. The good news is that this new "Firm Riche" version now has an all-mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide + titanium dioxide ) rather than the hybrid mineral/chemical combo (zinc oxide + octinoxate) in the old version. The tint is the same. It also remains fragrance-free with no sunscreen smell whatsoever. The bad news is that this new version is thick and it feels like trying to spread school paste on your face. It's difficult to apply, and I don't like having to tug on my face to get it to blend. I've tried warming it up in my hand first but that doesn't help much. Once applied I feel like it sits on top of my skin and never really sets. The old version was far superior in this regard--it was thinner, blended easily and was lovely under makeup. New version not so much. I'm frustrated by this because Journee has always been an amazing all-in-one product that can replace my treatment serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen in one step. I will struggle through using up the rest but will not repurchase.
