Better than a foundation
This product not only protects, but makes my skin look good. It feels silky soft acts like a primer. I appreciate the tint that blends well with my brown skin tone. I feel that this sunscreen can stand the test of the intense, high altitude sunlight of Colorado. The only thing I don't like about the MDsolarscience tube containers is that it squirts out the sunscreen and some of it will fly off to my shirt or my sink.

Good Protection; Poor Staying Power
This is a decent match for most light to medium light skinned folks. Wouldn't be a great match for brown or dark-skinned folks. Even lighter skinned folks looking for a perfect match are unlikely to find it, but such is the way with one shade fits all sunscreens. It's fairly sheer, so the color mismatch is easier to overlook if you're within range of the shade. It does impart a kind of "skin blurring" effect which looks very pretty. It appears matte in terms of its visual effect. It has a neutral sun screen scent. Not offensive, but noticeable. I have combination skin that leans a bit dry, and this did not irritate my skin. The high percentage of zinc oxide is some of the best sun protection you can get; zinc oxide is proven to offer the broadest range of protection against both UVA and UVB light. The problem, as you can see in the photo, is that this absolutely does not dry down IF YOU APPLY THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT. (Seriously, never listen to anyone that says a "pea sized amount" is all you need!) It is far too heavy on the silicones, and remains slippery two hours after application (the time of suggested reapplication). Even if the sensory aspect of the silicones sitting on your skin doesn't bother you - and it doesn't bother me personally - you will almost certainly accidentally smudge and wipe this off throughout wear. This defeats any benefits such strong sun protection may offer.

Will have a small cast if deep tan
I am deep tan NC42 and 310 in Fenty beauty for reference. This foundation gave me a modest cast but it is workable. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis but I found that a bit of power (Charlotte Tilbury in shade 3) makes it wearable for me. It has a lot of dimethicone which makes it super slippery feeling but helps not make it look greasy. If you are a bit darker I recommend their bb cream in medium/dark which works great with no cast whatsoever on me

I absolutely love this sunscreen. It was recommended to me by my Esthetician and I have been a fan since day 1. Love the texture! It is so creamy and goes on very smooth and truly has a matte finish - perfect for my oily/combo skin! It does have light coverage but I love that. It is perfect for me - not cakey or too heavy...feels light on the skin! If I need more coverage, I simply top with a little mineral power foundation and I am good to go all day. It also stays on great throughout the day. I use this completely in place of any foundation now!

Looks nice on my skin. But I feel it sliding around. I live in South Texas where it's hot and humid. I can't have my sunscreen sliding around if I because I'll sweat and it will slide around even worse. While it's not greasy, it does not absorb well into my skin. I have combination skin and I've tried different preparations: no moisturizer, a little bit of moisturizer, just a little on my jaw. Tried different moisturizers. Nothing really worked for me. I like the Elta MD tinted a lot better.
