This stuff is great!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

So I found an older BeautyFix box on the side (May 2024) and ordered it on sale. turns out that the MD Solar Sciences Mineral Crème SPF 50 they sent then expired in Jan. 25. I've been using it as a moisturizer or SPF on days I'm not outside and just running around for errands; I'm assuming it maybe is an SPF 3 or 5 at this point. But for a mineral sunscreen the texture is amazing. I'm definitely going to buy this in the future (esp if there's a 20% off sale) because it's the best mineral face sunscreen I've tried and I like the way it feels and looks on my face after applying (not too shiny, not too matte - just right!).

Yuck

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

This product feels super greasy, leaves a white cast, runs if you sweat, and shows in your hairline. I don’t mind silicone in a sunscreen, but this product slips and slides everywhere and is very inelegant. I didn’t notice any difference in feel or quality between this version and the tinted version.

Smooth and Soothing

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This sunscreen has such a nice texture; it's very smooth and non-greasy. A little goes a long way, but it rubs in well (I'm pretty pale though, so not sure how it works on deeper skin tones).

I’m pale and burn easily - this sunscreen keeps me protected and feels amazing. I have tried so many sunscreens and will keep buying this one over and over. Barely leaves a white casts and it disappears quickly

Best sunscreen

love this sunscreen - mineral. Feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen. No white film. Easy to layer under makeup.

My Favorite Mineral Suncreen!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I initially didn't think I would like this since it does have a silicone primer texture. The first time I put it on, it felt strange, but after a few times of use I got used to it. I usually find all mineral sunscreens very drying on my already dry skin, so I don't love them, but this one is actually moisturizing. I didn't feel like it dried out my skin. There is definitely a small cast, but I feel like it is better than most. I have very fair skin so I can't tell on me that well, but I could tell that it wasn't completely transparent. Overall, my favorite sunscreens are combination ones or Korean ones, but this one was very pleasant to use and my skin didn't feel dry after application, which is a huge plus for me. I will definitely repurchase if I want to use a full mineral sunscreen.

Best sunscreen in my kit

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I received this from my dermatologist after she completed a laser treatment.  I used it faithfully when going outside for the first 60 days post treatment.   Then returned to my usual one, another doctor recommended, quality, spf 50 product and got sunburned.  I was so angry. Ever since then, this Mineral Creme is my only sunscreen. This product works.  The drawbacks other reviewers noted can be overcome.  It does go on with a noticeable white layer and feels slightly greasy, but I would rather say very smooth. The white lets you know you’ve applied it without misses and then fades after 5 minutes.  The smoothness makes it easy to apply, and makeup (foundation and powders) applies easily over it.  Then everything sets. Use a little power under eyes to keep mascara from moving to your skin.  Using this protocol, I have great success with this product.

Not great for sensitive skin

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Got this as part of the Best of Dermstore x Skin Cancer Foundation Sun Care Kit. I have sensitive skin (eczema) and this sunscreen just dries out my skin and leaves it feeling itchy. It also leaves a strong white cast and is pretty greasy, though the greasiness tends to go away after a few minutes. I'm glad that I got it through a kit because I wouldn't have been happy spending full price on this.

Greasiest sunscreen ever!

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Bought this last year after seeing great reviews online, but they were so wrong! This sunscreen is so greasy and it never completely rubs in. You’ll leave a greasy mark on furniture and clothes wherever you go; it’s really that bad. I’m trying to use it up since it was so expensive, but only in situations when I can accept feeling gross all day. Don’t believe good reviews, it’s so bad!!

Holy grail sunscreen

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've been using this sunscreen for a couple years now. I have extremely acne-prone skin and I was delighted to find this never breaks me out. For a high-SPF mineral sunscreen, the white cast isn't too bad - it goes on with a cast, but the cast fades after about 5 minutes.
