La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Solution Acne Toner with Salicylic Acid utilizes natural antibiotics and resurfacing AHA acids to shape a soft and clear complexion. Salicylic acid reaches deep within your texture to cleanse and control oil production while glycolic acid dissolves dead skin cells to unclog your pores. Skin is left looking even and blemish-free.
Tone up to 2x daily, morning and/or evening. Use a soft cotton ball or pad. Make sure to avoid eye area. No rinsing necessary. For best results use after Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser and follow with Effaclar Duo.

Surpisingly Effective
I first used this with the Effaclar trio pack that's available at Target. The trio seriously performed a miracle and cleared up stubborn acne that I hadn't been able to for 2 years. I wasn't really impressed with the toner and didn't repurchase once it ran out. But a few months later, I noticed my skin wasn't as clear. The only change in my routine was that I eliminated this. I added it back recently and my skin really glows.

Too much alcohol in this product - can cause free radical damage. It's also the 2nd active ingredient which means there's basically no glycolic acid in it.

Too Harsh on Acne Prone Skin
I was first intrigued by the product because of the AHA acids and salicylic acid however after awhile I felt it was too harsh for my acne prone skin and it was not helping my skin in the end. I now am using the oil cleansing method and my skin is fantastic.

Love this stuff!
Great for sensitive skin and clogged pores but I always make sure to use a moisturizing eye cream due to eczema. The eczema on the rest of my face was not bothered by this product. I really recommend the Effaclar gel cleanser and duo cream as well. I've had a lot of success with this system.

Pretty good!
I've been using the clarifying solution for a couple weeks not and it's pretty good. I wouldn't say it controls my oil production because that seems to be the same. Not sure I just need to use it longer to see a change. It does help with my blemishes if I put a good amount on a cotton pad and rest it on the spot for a few seconds. I will continue to use and see how it goes.
