Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer was created to mimic the appearance of healthy, radiant skin. It can be used as a spot foundation, concealer, all-over foundation, highlighter (choose a shade lighter than your actual skin tone) or mixed with your moisturizer for a tinted moisturizer effect -- the possibilities are endless! Honey and jojoba oil create a soft, dewy finish as well as lend themselves to the formula's silky texture. It may be applied with the fingers, a brush or a sponge (wet or dry) for any desired finish. Apply over The Sensual Skin Primer for a smooth texture, and top with The Gossamer Loose Powder if you prefer a matte look.
SX 01 is a true ivory shade, ideal for fair skin tones.
Apply sparingly (a pin sized amount) with your finger or concealer brush on top of freshly moisturized or primed skin and blend. Apply more as desired.

Not great for oily/sensitive skin (but very pigmented as advertised)
This definitely does what it says it does. It is extremely pigmented. You do not need much to get a flawless face. As such, for some this could be a quick, out-the-door product; for others, it might require a bit more effort to get a natural look. If you want a natural look you truly need like a RICE-SIZED amount of product. Then apply bits of it the areas of your face you want coverage, and I think it best to blend out using light strokes withe your fingers to melt the product into the skin. You may need more product if you use a sponge or a brush, but I can't imagine for an oily skinned person adding more of this product to the face because - the main ingredient is MINERAL OIL. I bought this for spot concealing and since it is so pigmented it does conceal quite well, but I find that it is not long wearing. I have oily skin, but it's not super majorly oily, and I get quite long wear from many foundations even without using setting sprays or even an intense set with powder (I do set with powder, but I don't need to be really stringent about it), but this does not wear well even with a good set with a quite dense brush (Shiseido Perfect Foundation brush). This also broke me out even worse where I used it, which I could have guessed since I do not get on well with mineral oil. On the plus side, if this does work for you, it should last you a very long time. But, I would recommend you store it in a cool area. Many people - as you can see from the reviews here - love and revere this product. I highly suggest you look up Karima McKimmie's YouTube video. My fav concealer
I'm a concealer junkie and own and have tried hundreds of concealers and this is the one I cannot live without. Coverage is better than any other I own, its thick so a little goes a long way. I am about a NC35-NC42 with a yellow/neutral base and I use SX11. I can't live without this. I use it sparingly as a foundation and more as a concealer under the eyes

Holy grail foundation
This is my all time favorite foundation. It is extremely concentrated, which means many people use it only as a concealer, but it's so versatile that I can make it work as a full coverage matte foundation or sheer dewy tinted moisturizer if I want. On a typical day for medium coverage, I prime with Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre as it gives my skin the slip needed to sheer out the SSE. I dot a TINY TINY bit, I'm talking barely half a pea, around my face primarily where I need coverage, and then I buff it all in with a dense foundation brush (I use Sonia Kashuk #130). My T-Zone tends to get shiny so I might lightly powder it, but I'm basically done. This foundation is lightweight and will last all day even in hot, humid weather. This foundation does come with a learning curve. You will not use it as you would a normal foundation since you need so little. I've used this daily for a year and barely made a dent even though the jar is so small. I also love how portable it is! Play around with different moisturizers and primers to fit your skin's needs. There is a great variety of color options, but their numbers aren't intuitive. Dermstore has a great return policy to ensure you pick the right one for you, but it may help to get color matched in person.

Really nice! (even if a bit heavy)
First of all this stuff will last you for the rest of your life. It is a huge pot and if you use it well you will have it forever! No youtube type of heavy application needed with this pot. It does go on well and sheer out well and it provides great coverage. But it is a little thicker so if you aren't careful you can get cakey (and it will show up texture). However it is a top notch product!

One of my favorite foundations!
I love this foundation! It took a while to get used to how to use it properly because it is very very pigmented. It literally takes the smallest amount to cover my entire face (full coverage.) I've learned to play with this cream and learned to use different products with it to get different results. I add a small amount to my moisturizer to get more of a light coverage, add it to my eye cream as an under eye concealer etc. It is best used with the Sensual Skin Primer. Amazing buildable coverage but you would need to play around with it to get it to work right for you.

Perfect undertone color
This product can be used as a foundation, concealer, contour. It's thick but very bendable and creamy. A little goes a long way. Also the undertone of Sx8 is perfect for people but caramel skin. One of my favorite concealer in my collection.

Crazy Pigmented
This product is crazy pigmented, and extremely full coverage. I love how easy it is to use, but make sure you use the SMALLEST amount. Otherwise, it can be very cakey

This pot is going to last me FOREVER
I found shade-matching when buying this online to be problematic. The numbering system doesn't quite go from light to dark straight through. I had ordered SX-04 and it was far too orange/dark on me but SX-05 is perfect. For reference, I wear NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Deauville. This concealer/foundation is SO pigmented. It's actually unbelievable. I wouldn't say this is for very dry/flaky skin because of its very high pigment content. It would no doubt cling to all the dry patches. I have oilier skin and it looks great given that I powder for longevity. I absolutely recommend this product. It has quickly become a makeup bag staple!
