Start with Smooth Affair: apply with fingertips, spreading evenly until primer has been absorbed. Use with or without your favorite moisturizer.
For PurePressed Base: swirl the brush around the pressed powder foundation. Tap off any excess. Using downward strokes, begin application where you want the most coverage. Then layer over the rest of your face and neck.
For Amazing Base: lightly dip each side of the brush into the powder. Tap off any excess. Using the lid, work the mineral foundation into the brush until all powder is absorbed. Apply in thin layers using downward strokes.
Finish with POMMISST: lightly mist your face from about an arm's length away. Spritz the face throughout the day to refresh or whenever the skin feels dry.

Not as impressed as I thought I would be
This is a perfect way to try Jane Iredale products before committing to purchase the full sizes. However, that’s where the positive ended for me. The primer settled in my pores vs smoothing them, and the mineral makeup coverage was not great. Also, I agree with the other reviewer that the brush is disappointing. They should have included a decent small kabuki brush to use the products properly. I think I need to stick with my current regime, though I had really high hopes for this kit. For reference, I have been using the Wander Beauty pressed mineral foundation for several years, and it has way more coverage and staying power and is also a clean beauty product.

High quality make up
I have never used Jane Iredale make up before, but have heard good information regarding the quality and ingredients in the products as well as appreciate the humaneness in how the products are manufactured. This kit was a perfect tester to sample their basic products, and I love this make up!!!!! I was unsure about how a press powder mineral make up would appear on my skin, however the make up applied very smooth and it was very gentle on my skin. The product also lasted surprisingly well. I didn't feel like it came off easily with hugging others or upon putting on and off clothes! Did not feel heavy, yet provided good coverage for all the acne I have been getting with wearing masks! I will definitely be purchasing these products in larger sizes, and now this kit is the most convenient travel or overnight stay size.
