jane iredale Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara amplifies the look of lashes with added length and volume. The rich formula is infused with seaweed lipids to condition and protect against breakage. Features an over-sized brush to help separate and define lashes without the clumps.
Black Ice is a rich black shade.
Apply a layer of our PureLash Extender and Conditioner first. You'll be amazed how it thickens your lashes. It also means that you'll use less mascara. Allow to dry until tacky and then apply your favorite formula of mascara. Be sure to rock the mascara wand at the base of your lashes first. This is where you want the most product, then brush out to the tips. If you are going to layer mascara, don't wait for each application to dry. This is what makes lashes stick together. Don't pump brushes. This will force air into the tube and help to dry out the product. Simply twist the brush in the tube to pick up more product. Brown or grey can look softer around the eyes than black. Too much mascara can be aging.

My favorite mascara
I received a sample tube of this mascara and fell in love. The cellulose fibers in the formula really thicken and lengthen my lashes but don't flake or smudge under my eyes like most mascaras. It's also very gentle and non irritating. Lashes look and feel soft. I just really wish it were less expensive!

The Best Mascara
I love this mascara. Natural ingredients, it lengthens your lashes, and it never clumps. I also love the packaging-the soft mascara tube lets you use more of the product. Typically when a standard mascara tube runs low, you wind up throwing out quite a bit of unreachable mascara but not the case here!

if you're looking for a really minimal natural look this may be a good mascara. However if you want length and thickness and lashes that pop a bit I wouldn't recommend

Not too stellar
I really jane iredale products so I thought I'd give the mascara a try. I've been searching for a natural mascara that could hold its own but this doesn't take the prize. The brush is too long and I always end up getting mascara on my lids. The formula needs to be applied in at least 4 coats and even with that time investment my lashes are not thick or lengthened. I'm not going to give up finding a natural mascara one day...

I really wanted to like this because I'm a big fan of Jane Iredale products (and also because the packaging was cute)! However, I received this mascara as part of the Superset gift last year, and was so disappointed. For reference, I'm Asian with straight, thin lashes that point "downwards," and this mascara did not do very much for me other than providing a tint. It flaked, smudged, and did not hold my curl very well. This might work well for someone with naturally long and curly lashes, but not for me. Sadly, I had to toss this out.
