Multi-use
This sponge reminds me of a microfiber beauty sponge (which I sometimes prefer over regular Beautyblender-type sponges) but is much easier to clean, maintain, etc. Much quicker to dry due to its flat shape as well! I've found so many more uses for this sponge on different products with different textures than I originally intended (which was to simply replace a sponge in my powder compact).

This uniquely-shaped compact sponge is so much easier to maintain than my Beautyblender sponges. It takes less time to wash and dry, and it can be used wet or dry with all sorts of foundations, creams, moisturizers, etc. It can even be a replacement sponge for a cushion compact. I've successfully used this jane iredale sponge with powder foundations, liquid foundations, moisturizers, BB and CC creams... and sometimes I simply flip the sponge over and use it for setting/finishing powders (no more having to carry both a foundation brush AND powder brush) It's also handy to add to anyone's travel brush/sponge collection or simply a multipurpose tool to drop in your purse!

Amazing Sponge
I really love this sponge! I use it for my liquid foundation and it offers amazing coverage and doesn't waste product. It's very durable and can take a beating when it comes to washing it and travel. So far I'm convinced it'll last years. Definitely recommend.

The Jane Iredale Flocked Makeup Blender Sponge is a great sponge for applying powder and foundation. I like to keep the makeup blender in my Jane Iredale face powder compact, because it fits easily and the applicator makes it much easier to apply the powder. The Blender helps to spread the powder evenly, assisting in preventing clumping and uneven coverage. I have also used the sponge to apply liquid foundation in a pinch. I highly recommend the makeup blender, and in fact I just bought a replacement for my compact tonight.

Nope, not a Fan
I read the reviews before purchasing and was aware that most were for use with powder type application but there were a few for creamy products as well which is why I gave it a try. NO NO NO, if you plan to use this for under eye application of a cream concealer don't bother wasting your money (even on sale) stick with a beauty blender type applicator. The shape of this sponge (flat & small) leaves you with nothing to really hold on to and the "flocked" texture leaves the concealer blotchy and uneven. I would not recommend this for any type of creamy makeup application.
