jane iredale Eye Pencil enhances the eyes with a subtle, soft or dramatic line as it hydrates and protects the delicate skin of your eyelid. Formulated with moisturizing shea butter, it conditions while vitamin E protects the skin from creasing. The cream pencil glides on easily without tugging or pulling eyelids.
Basic Black is a true black shade.

Best applied by taking color off with the Eye Liner/Brow Brush. Then, flip the brush to smudge the line.
Use our cosmetic pencil sharpener to maintain a rounded point. (Regular pencil sharpeners don't have a large enough opening and will split the wood.)

Taupe Eye pencil
I bought my first Jane Iredale eye pencil after a makeover at a spa. I use this as my eyebrow pencil and it is the perfect color and stays on all day. I also like it to line my eyelashes. Good light taupe neutral color. It is a must have in my makeup bag. I love Jane Iredale's clean product line.

Nice pencil, one big concern
I really liked this pencil. Creamy and easy to apply and lasted throughout the day. It was also easy to remove. I purchased the brown-black. However, after using this pencil for approximately 7 weeks, I wanted to sharpen it. I used my eyeliner sharpener but was left with a splintered mess and now the product is unusable. I went on line to read if other reviewers had a similar problem, and that is when I noticed that Jane Iredale has her own sharpener and that is what is recommended for this pencil. ( I did not find the Iredale sharpener on the dermstore website, so will have to look elsewhere.) I just wanted to alert others that they should not use another type of sharpener for this pencil. I really liked the pencil, but am disappointed to have to purchase a separate sharpener. I was annoyed to find this out after trying to sharpen it and was left with a splintered unusable mess.

a true black eye pencil
It's hard to find an eye pencil that's a true black color and doesn't require a lot of rubbing to remove. This liner does sometimes smudge during the day if you're not careful, but the upside is that it's quite easy to remove at the end of the day.
