jane iredale Amazing Base SPF 20 provides light to medium coverage for dark spots, redness and any other flaws for a smooth and even complexion. Sea extracts hydrate to boost the skin's natural radiance while pomegranate antioxidants neutralize free radicals. The mineral formulation is even gentle for use over sensitive skin conditions including rosacea and eczema. Finally, this mineral foundation is formulated with reef-safe sunscreen to protect you and the environment.

Remove the seal or puncture holes for controlled flow of the minerals. Replace lid, turn upside down and tap. The minerals are now released into the sifter. Lightly dip each side of our Chisel Powder Brush into the minerals. Tap off any excess using the side of the jar. Using the lid, work the minerals into the brush until all powder is absorbed. Apply the minerals in thin layers using downward strokes. If you've put on too much, use our Flocked Sponge to remove any excess. Begin application where you want the most coverage, then lightly layer over the rest of the face. Don't forget your neck.

I absolutely love Jane Iredale products! The foundation always goes on easily and covers well without looking or feeling heavy. I always get compliments on my makeup and people always ask what I use for my foundation. I am very fair skinned with more yellow than pink undertones and the ivory is a little more pink than I would like so I use it around my eyes and put a very very thin layer over my entire face and then I go over that with a very thin layer of bisque. Bisque alone is slightly too dark for me so I have to combine the 2 colors. All in all a great product that I foresee myself using for years to come

Love this foundation
I love this foundation. I also love that it doesn't harbor bacteria and helps protect my skin. I use the Avene thermal water to set it. Makes my skin look beautiful and even. I can wear several shades but the Bisque is my favorite. I have a blue undertone but like that it cancels the pink in my skin. Leave the seal on the foundation and poke a few holes. You can always add more. I use the lid to swirl it into my brush.

Not good for my dry skin, and didn't cover enough just as a base
When I applied this to my skin after moisturizing it showed every dry patch of skin I had. The color was also wayyy too light for me and I'm very fair. I'm beginning to see that her color scale runs on the lighter side, which usually isn't the case for most make-ups. I think I might like it as a finishing powder IF it was a darker shade, but definitely did not work as a base for me. I'm going to exchange this for her full coverage BB cream-heard great things about it!

I was very hesitant to give this a go because i really dont love loose powders. I was so pleasantly surprised! I usually use BB5 in the BB cream and although it does match me well i felt like it was a tad dark so i decided that instead of getting the neutral shade on the chart recommended for me i would go a step lighter. Im very glad that i did because its the perfect shade for me personally! Im a warmer to more neutral skin tone (Olive Complexion) and i usually always go towards neutral. This powder feels very nice, not heavy and provides such good coverage. I dont use the Jane Iredale foundation brush but rather a brush that i have that is similar to it. I apply the brightening primer with my hands (a little goes a long way) love this primer! Then I use a damp Beauty Blender to apply a very small thin amount of the BB5 on my nose and some of my cheeks as i do have some redness that is bothersome to me. Then i apply the Amazing base. I will eventually try just the primer and the amazing base because i do feel like this is very build able and could really be full coverage for me. Oh also, a really nice feature is that all the holes come sealed. You actually get to choose how many and the placement of the ones you open... that was new to me but i loved it! Dont puncture too many- the powder is very fine!

Comparable to Bareminerals
Very nice color and matches my face/neck flawlessly. I love that the powder includes SPF 20 and that its a cruelty-free cosmetics line. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because compared to bare minerals, I have to put a little more of this product on to get the same coverage so this would be perfect for someone looking for light coverage but since I have rosacea skin I have to apply a second layer.
