Skin Zyme (formally Skin Zyme Papaya Mask) is a highly effective mask made from papaya enzymes. Jan Marini designed this product for supplemental home care exfoliation, with its ability to thoroughly digest dead epidermal cells without harming sensitiv
Use daily or nightly. Apply layer of mask after face has been cleaned with CLEAN ZYME. Dampen hands in warm water and gently massage mask into skin (avoid getting water into Zyme jar). Leave mask on for 15 min. or longer.

Contains parabens. Wasn't happy.
Always read ingredients...its what your paying for. I go now to Whole Foods for skin products st advice of dermatologist. They don't allow bad ingredients for skin ( or in food) in store. Strict regulations on what they sell.

My fav enzyme mask
I have 4 masques that I use in rotation: (1) a glycolic, (2) an exfoliant scrub with lactic acid by Eminence, (3) an enzyme, and, (4) a hydrating fermented mask (SK-ii). This Jan Marini Skin Zyme mask serves as my enzyme mask. It's a great value - I love the texture (luxuriously creamy and rich), and the results. The scent isn't bad, nor is it that distinguishable. I also like that the container is thin and durable in case I drop it. I was introduced to it at a local resort spa and have enjoyed it with each use, particularly because it takes me back to my spa day. :)

This mask is meant to be used with the Clean Zyme. When used together my fresh hyperpigmentation faded quickly. I bought this for post procedures. I've tried many products, but this is the first that does what it says.

I love this stuff. I've got fairly sensitive skin, it goes red easily and most scrubs irritate it, but using the enzyme mask as a weekly exfoliator there is no irritation, just glowing skin.

Disappointment
I was so excited about this mask due to its reviews about making pore size appear smaller, etc. It is just a nice mask. So, perhaps you need to buy the cleanser with it to see the results other raved about. I saw no difference in my skin whatsoever. I'm very disappointed. To spend this for a mask you would hope to see at least some effect.

I don't have to use the papaya mask, but I notice using this product helps me go longer between facials. I use it based on the recommendation of my esthetician. What's lovely is that it's foolproof. The enzymes will only "eat up" dead skin. So if you leave it on for a whole day it wouldn't hurt your skin.
