Great for acne prone skin.

My dermatologist recommended I add a glycolic cleanser to my skin regimen 2-3 times a week. In the last couple of months I have been suffering from hormonal acne. I'm using this cleanser twice a week (day and night) in conjunction with the Obagi Daily Care Foaming Cleanser & Pore Therapy on the days I don't use this cleanser. So far the results have been great even though I did experience some flaking. Overall, I really like this product.

This is a great cleanser for problematic skin.

Jan Marini Bioglycolic Cleanser works great with my Clarisonic. At first I was worried it would be too harsh on my delicate skin but it is really gentle and I use it twice a day (with Clarisonic in the pm). The smell is OK but what is most important the acne goes away quickly.

Gentle but effective

I was looking for a cleanser that was gentle, as I am currently using Tazorac for my adult acne, but that was also effective at keeping pimples at bay. Jan Marini cleanser does both. I knew ahead of time that it would not be effective to use as an eye makeup remover (as glycolic acid preparations sting the delicate eye area) so I primarily use the cleanser in the morning and use another foaming cleanser at night to remove makeup. I rub the cleanser onto a dry face and then gently wipe the cleanser off with a damp rag. I have found that by using the cleanser just once a day and being very gentle with its removal I have not incurred any negative effects of using this product with Tazorac. So overall a great product. My only small gripe is that the product comes in a pump bottle, and while that makes using it more hygienic, it makes travel difficult. Maybe a pump dispenser where it can be locked if turned the other way, as I've seen with some other cleanser bottles, would be advantageous.

I liked this product for clearing up a few recurring pimples however, it is very drying. I can only use it about 3 times a week, also I have to use a clarisonic brush with this to get makeup off- not great for just getting makeup off

keeps acne at bay

I absolutely love this cleanser!! I have tried many different products with varying results, some were good most were bad, but I finally found success with this cleanser!! My acne is almost completely gone (only tiny spots on outside of face remain) and my skin has never felt more clean/smooth after only 2 1/2 weeks of use. It does not dry out my face at all and I can even use benzoyl peroxide as needed with face wash and still not have dry skin!! I advise anyone struggling with acne, acne scars, or just want a face wash that will make you look better to try this product!!!! I will buy this when I run out and my new favorite brand is now jan marini!
