Jan Marini Skin Research Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% Wash is a therapeutically effective anti-bacterial cleanser for the treatment of acne and acne prone skin. Benzoyl Peroxide is recognized by the American Academy of Dermatology to significantly reduce the presence of P acne bacteria (the bacteria believed to play a primary role in the inflammatory aspect of the acne process).
Benzoyl Peroxide Wash assists in thoroughly removing sebum and cellular debris without stripping or excessive dryness. Oily skinned individuals will appreciate its deep cleaning action that leaves the skin feeling not only scrupulously clean, but soft and smooth.

Key Ingredients: Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%
Apply a small amount (about the size of a quarter) to the face. Work into a lather. Gently remove with a wash cloth and lukewarm water. Splash face with lukewarm water. Pat dry. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a physician.

Not impressed
I have been using this product for a little over two weeks, and I am not impressed at all. I have oily skin thats always been prone to acne, and I thought I would give this a try. I see little to no improvement to my skin. I am using it with a clarisonic brush for maximum results. I will continue to finish the bottle, but at this point I won't be purchasing this again.

This will last a long time - maybe six or more months. Gentle but effective. No peeling so far, and I don't have real oily skin. Being the cosmetic junky I am, I decided to purchase the PCA blemish control bar and the Jan Marini BioGlycolic cleanser too. I combine them all or use one after the other with my Clarisonic brush. Although I'm on oral and topical medications, I sometimes erupt in an occassional deep cyst (adult acne) on my chin. I can't leave it alone - my problem. Then, I finally go to the derm to have it injected. I purchased this and the other cleansers to see they would help. It's only been several weeks. However, so far so good!! I like this product very much.

Amazing cleanser for acne and other skin types
This is the most amazing acne wash. I thought that my teenage son would have to use oral antibiotics to battle acne and then we tried this with the topical and the moisturizing sunscreen. AMAZING! This really works and really keeps the skin clear and does not dry or irritate the skin. My older son who has dry skin and no acne except for very occasional minor outbreaks, loves this wash. He has to have a lot of moisture for his dry skin and this product keeps his skin very clear and does not at all dry him out. We love this product. I tell everyone about it.
