Jan Marini Skin Research Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% Wash is a therapeutically effective anti-bacterial cleanser for the treatment of acne and acne prone skin. Benzoyl Peroxide is recognized by the American Academy of Dermatology to significantly reduce the presence of P acne bacteria (the bacteria believed to play a primary role in the inflammatory aspect of the acne process).

Benzoyl Peroxide Wash assists in thoroughly removing sebum and cellular debris without stripping or excessive dryness. Oily skinned individuals will appreciate its deep cleaning action that leaves the skin feeling not only scrupulously clean, but soft and smooth.

Key Ingredients: Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%

Apply a small amount (about the size of a quarter) to the face. Work into a lather. Gently remove with a wash cloth and lukewarm water. Splash face with lukewarm water. Pat dry. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a physician. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops, stop use of both products and ask a physician.

MY HOLY GRAIL

Words cannot explain how amazing this wash is. I'm 29 and have struggled with acne my whole life. Not crazy acne, but I always have pimples popping up on a daily basis. I used this ONE day and it heeled all the red, and dry skin I had on spot that I had popped and picked at. This wash is amazing. If you have trouble with acne, get it. Great product for acne

This BP wash helped me get rid of my adult acne (finally!) I used to have severe cystic/hormonal acne along my jawline. My dermatologist prescribed some medications, which helped to reduce most of the cysts. However, I'd always have one painful zit here or there, always on my chin. When the dermatologist recommended a BP wash, my skin finally smoothed out, which hasn't happened in YEARS. I use this in the morning as I have been prescribed tretinoin at night. This wash is great because it is gentle and doesn't bleach like topical BP does.

So far so good. Love this product and it has not caused bleaching like some benzoyl products do. I do recommend. The only thing I wish this brand offered was a body wash with benzoyl 10% to help with body acne.

Good Benzoyl Peroxide Wash

I like this face wash, it does not irritate my skin with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. However I use it only at night so I will not dry out my skin, and only rinse my face with water in the morning. It does not remove acne overnight, but it may help to prevent it. I have always struggled with acne and I think it does the job. 8 oz is a lot of product you are receiving so I think $40 it is worth it. I wish it came in a pump or something, but it is okay squeezing it out of the bottle.

Finally! Adult Acne Under Control

My dermatologist suggested a benzoyl peroxide wash, but I tried the "natural/organic" route first. It was a miserable failure hard as I tried. I've been using this Jan Marini face wash and cleared up almost instantly - the more consistent I am with washing my face, the better the results (sometimes I am sooo tired!) I do not have sensitive screen, but expected my face to be dry. This has not been the case. I may even upgrade to the 5% if the acne doesn't clear up entirely. But for now, I couldn't be happier that it is under control! Only complaint: it does not remove eye make up and I am not used to using a separate wash for that so that is slightly annoying.

Best product for stubborn Adult Acne

Great with the rest of the system

I use this with other Jan Marini products, and my skin has completely changed from just a month ago. First off, I like that this bottle of face wash is going to last a super long time. The consistency is just right that I don't have to use much at all, but also it doesn't slide off while I let it sit. I leave it on for about 5 minutes before I rinse. Like I said, it is great with the other products, although I don't know how effective it would be by itself.
