Too much for sensitive skin
I am unfortunate enough to have skin that is super acne prone and also really sensitive. I have an oily forehead, blackheads on my nose, and get cystic acne on my chin/cheeks. I love iS clinical and had high hopes for this serum. This would be GREAT for someone who is not already using other actives. I use a retinol a couple of days a week, a gentle cleanser, and EltaMD moisturizers. When I used this I saw an overnight reduction in acne (amazing) but also ended up with dry skin that was flaking off on my chin. If you can tolerate these ingredients then this could be a miracle product for you, but if you are already using actives or have sensitive skin then this might work better as a spot treatment.

A must have for acne sufferers!
I first tried this product about a little over a year ago when my esthetician gave me a small, sample size bottle to try as I was having a major acne flare up at the time. She assured me that the serum would clear my skin up within days, but I was skeptical- I've suffered from acne since age 11 and have even been on Accutane; I'm now 39 years old. I used the serum the same night, only where I was broken out at and by the next morning every bump had significantly decreased in size, if were not completely gone! I ended up running out of the sample size bottle and had many breakouts since then. My cosmetic spa treatments continued to add up, eventually I tried to treat my acne myself...to make a very long story short, I recommended this product to a friend about two months ago. She suffers from hormonal acne, purchased the Active Serum and after just a few days, her skin was clear! She thanked me over and over and well, I immediately got over the price tag$$$ and purchased a full size bottle. I've been using the serum for four weeks now and am seeing amazing results to include diminishing of blemishes, uneven skin tone and acne. I will never go without this product ever again. If you're a long time, chronic acne sufferer like myself, it's definitely worth giving it a try!

Breakouts don't stand a chance
Typically I use 5 drops into the palm of my hand and I tap serum on my face with two fingers and the leftover that is in my palm i press into my skin as a 2nd coat. I love the cooling sensation and this drastically eliminates redness and those stubborn breakouts. Ive had success the next morning and the pesky pimples have been dried out. I have also noticed how much more clearer and brighter my complexion is. Serum is pricy but the bottle i bought was from August and I just repurchase one this month (October). Works like a charm
This product really works. Don't use too much or your skin will get dry - 4 drops go a long way. I use this almost every night under my moisturizer. It tingles a bit upon application, but really helps with the texture of my skin and prevents breakouts and reduces clogged pores.

really made a difference with my problematic skin
I LOVE this product and consider it worth every single penny, especially with the subscription service. I bought the trial size (part of the Clearing Travel Kit), which is only 0.5 oz, but still have half of that after using it every night for a month. I'm not sure of its effectiveness on its own, but it has made a huge difference in my regime and now I can't live without it. That's the short story, but for the long story, keep reading. I had been wanting to try this product out for a while after I saw that a model I'm a fan of uses it regularly. I wasn't willing to immediately buy the full size, so purchased the Clearing Travel Kit, and I'm sooo glad I did. I ended up traveling for a full month, across the globe in totally different climates, spending hours and hours on a plane, and yet my skin has been radiant and glowing!! I used to struggle with acne a lot. I've taken Accutane 3 times(!!!!) and since then, have been on a regime of 50mg of spironolactone a day, along with Adapalene(retinol) gel at night. A couple of months ago my skin started to break out again and I was considering going the Accutane route again. My decision to try this product was a last resort act of desperation and WOW, it did not disappoint. I can't speak for just this product alone, as I am now using 3 iS Clinical products daily along with my medication, but it really has been wonderful. Plus, it just feels so amazing and luxurious. My skin feels CLEAN and pampered every night now, and I can't wait to take my make up off at the end of the day to treat myself to this! My night regime goes as followed: 1- remove make up with Miscellar cleansing water 2- cleanse with iS Clinical Cleansing Complex 3 - iS Clinical Active Serum 4 - iS Clinical Hydra-cool Serum 5 - thin layer of Adapalene(retinol) gel 6 - seal it all in with Indie Lee squalene facial oil All of this, along with 50mg of Spironolactone a day. And for the morning I just cut out the active serum and retinol, and use a good SPF.

Nothing to write home about
This product is average - I was not "WOWed" by it. I did not notice a visible difference after using it (been using it for over 3 months). The product may have helped prevent new break outs, but it did not clear up existing hormonal acne. For the price tag, I don't think it's worth it. The application process is hard too - I feel as though I waste some of the product through the application process (a dropper).

Powerhouse product
I'd contemplated purchasing this for a while after seeing facialist Shani Darden recommend it consistently on social media, but was hesitant to buy because of the price tag. I finally took the plunge after suffering several months of hormonal breakouts. As others mentioned, it has a minty sensation when applied, you can feel it working and I actually really look forward to the feeling but I understand it may not be for everyone. Most importantly, this has cleared my breakouts. I haven't had a cystic blemish since introducing this into my routine. My acne scars have faded and I found the results to be MUCH faster than other products. Will definitely be repurchasing!

No super hero here
My esthetician recommended this and like a loyal client, I went home and ordered it on Dermstore. She swore by it because of it's multiple claims of being able to aide in the fight of acne, the prevention, and ability to smooth away of fine lines and wrinkles. She calls it the true "super hero" of all skin types. Well, I've been using it for almost a 3 months now and I sure as heck would not call it a "super hero." I'm not sure if it's helping with anything really. I still get the occasionally time of the month break out that I've always gotten. I haven't seen any big difference. Maybe I need to finish the whole bottle to see something? The only thing that I can say for sure about this serum is that if I use it daily, my skin get's super dry. Also, I'm not quite a fan of the tingling sensation that I get the second I put it on. To be fair, the tingling feeling does go away after a minute or so. Will I get again? Probably not. No super hero here.
