Grate oil.
I find that this facial oil really balances out my oil production so that I am not oily nor dry, and my skin just feels perfect when I wake up in the morning. It does go on feeling a bit greasy, but it quickly absorbs.

Gave Me Breakouts
I used the Lapis oil for about 3 months. I have stubborn hormonal acne on my chin.I was heartbroken because this oil is fantastic for calming irritated skin and shrunk existing spots and faded acne scars almost overnight. However, I did notice that little bumps would pop up on parts of my face where I don't normally get acne (i.e. forehead, cheeks) while I was using this oil. In conclusion, I'm taking off a star because I think it's a bit odd to have coconut oil in a product for acne-prone skin, but I would still recommend the Lapis oil to anyone who won't break out from the fractionated coconut oil.

Greatest Of All Time
Yes, this is the GOAT. Lives up to the hype. I have sensitive, combination skin with some redness. This has been a clean product that provides a consistent hydration without causing breakouts or being greasy. Many compliments on my "glow"! Quickly absorbs and the blue color fades instantly (nothing like Sunday Riley's Luna Oil). Smell is wonderful. It is light enough to use every morning under makeup. I looked at reviews suggesting coupling Lapis for day and Phoenix at night - tried that, but to be honest I prefer the Lapis over the Phoenix both day and night. I have tried many facial oils and none of them can compare to this product.

Lovely Oil
This oil is perfect for day use. It absorbs easily and leaves my skin moisturized and soothed. To my nose it smells a bit like concord grapes but the sent doesn't linger. I was worried the coconut oil would make this product feel heavy but not at all.

HOLY GRAIL FOREVER
I've never felt the need to write a review for any product, but I am OBSESSED with this oil! Great for my sensitive + dehydrated skin
I was recommended this product to treat my dehydrated skin. I put 3 drops in my palms, rub them together until the oil heats up, and then press it into my face which really helps in applying it evenly. It smells soothing and medicinal (I like that sort of stuff), and the bottle looks so pretty on my countertop! 4 weeks in, I feel like this product has helped bring my skin back from being all dry and crepe-y, and hasn't caused any breakouts! I'd avoid using it around the eye during your morning routine if you wear eye makeup though.

I am new to facial oils, but I am quite impressed by Herbivore Bontanicals Lapis Facial Oil. I have oily, acne-prone, hormonal skin, and this facial oil has definitely helped my complexion. I won't say I have perfect skin, but I no longer have the one or two inflamed pimples/cystic acne I used to get on a regular occasion. I find that this facial oil really balances out my oil production so that I am not oily nor dry, and my skin just feels perfect when I wake up in the morning. It does go on feeling a bit greasy, but it quickly absorbs; that being said, I find it didn't work well under make-up, but I have a different moisturizer with SPF I use in the mornings anyway. I use 3-4 drops every evening, and with the beautiful bottle and lovely scent, I feel like I'm being pampered!

I love it!!
I don't have terribly bad acne - I get a few spots once in a while. This stuff is gentle enough to be used on my whole face and also callms down my redness! I love it. It smells great but I know the scent is natural and the ingredients are good for me. I am obsessed with herbivore! If the price tag scares you, go for the tester size - it lasts for ages.

a non-greasy oil
this facial oil has a marvelous texture-just a few drops here and there absorb nicely into the skin and leaves no greasy finish behind. very hydrating, yet not messy. i put a peptide serum on top of it, and it makes my skin look smooth and dewy. the scent is quite light-it's a kind of plant-based herbal , and the scent disappears after it's rubbed in.
