Tips: For the first five days, use every other day for the best results. After day five, use 2-3 times per week to maintain results.
Apply a thin layer to clean skin. Slight tingling is normal with this mask as it works to gently exfoliate and resurface the skin. Leave on for 15-20 minutes or until the mask is completely dry. Rinse with warm water. For sensitive skin, leave on for five minutes and rinse with warm water.
Warnings: For external use only. Although slight tingling is normal with this product, if tingling becomes severe or painful, please remove the mask immediately with warm water. Avoid direct contact with eyes or mouth. Discontinue use if skin becomes irritated.

Gentle Mask
I bought the full size of this product twice. I loved the scent of the Lapis facial oil, but it made me break out. Luckily, this mask has a similar scent and did not make me break out. The mask very gentle, as some other reviewers have said, and I feel like my face is glowier right after I watch it off. However, I'm not sure that using this mask 1-2 times per week had a significant, positive effect on my complexion. I would recommend this product for someone who likes masks and is looking for non-irritating exfoliation, but personally have switched to an acid toner for my exfoliating needs. Note that the texture is very thin. I also think the product oxidizes after a few months and becomes a little more brown/greenish, but not sure how this changes the efficacy. It seems like they could put it in something other than a jar based on how thin it is.

An awesome addition to my mask cycle
I've been using Sunday Riley, Youth to the People, Fresh and Drunk Elephant for a while, and am happy to add Herbivore to my routine. I love alternating my masks between exfoliating and nourishing. Once a week, I use DE Babyfacial. I use Herbivore Blue Tanscy three times, YTTP Kale mask and Fresh Instant Perfecting mask once each. At 47, this step in my facial routine has amplified how my other products work. I get compliments on my skin from much younger women regularly, and I don't really wear makeup. Herbivore Blue Tanscy mask definitely has a strong smell, but it is a clean smell, and it dissipates quickly. I've been using it in the dead of a humid heat wave in the northeast, and it's been making my skin look smooth and clear. I will definitely keep it in my routine. It's not harsh, but it is effective! And a little goes a long way. I follow up with Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Essence, Herbivore Phoenix, then Murad A-K oil in whatever cream I'm using (usually DE Lala Retro or Peptide or YTTP adaptogen.)

Very effective mask
My face looks very clear with no redness in the days after using the mask. The mask burns a little while on but by the end of the twenty minutes feels fine. Since it clears all irritation I can only say that that feeling means it's working! I will buy again

Favorite Mask!
I love love love this mask! It is very easy to apply, and even easier to keep on (as it dries you can't even notice it on your face- huge plus if you want to lay in bed and avoid a mess). This mask has helped Reduce my acne (I also use the lapis oil), and it definitely does not dry out my skin. Extremely gentle and effective! Like the lapis oil, this mask does have a strong smell, but I personally don't mind it!

Heavy Rotation
I love this mask because it does so much for my skin, but is SO GENTLE! I can use this all the time without feeling like i'm overdrying my skin. I also love how easy this mask is to wash off. Some are such a hassle to scrub off, but this washes off like a gel cleanser would. Definitely my favorite mask to do because it's so easy and leaves my skin feeling great!

Don't know if this really works
I am not sure if this really works or If i just enjoy using it because it is fancy and smells nice. My skin has gotten better, but I don't know if it has cleared my acne up enough to justify the price.
