- Know your hair weaknesses. Is your hair frizzy? Flat? Lackluster? Using the proper styling products and tools are a must for a good blowout.
- Invest in a quality blow dryer. A powerful dryer will save you time, energy and prevent damage, as you'll spend significantly less time blowing heat over the same sections.
- Utilize a nozzle. It will help direct the hot air at a small space, allowing you to concentrate on specific areas of your hair at a time. Start at the roots to add volume and work your way to the ends.
- Take your time. Pull your hair into sections and dry one at a time. Taking an extra ten minutes to do this will save you another twenty that you'll need to fix stray hairs and frizz from blasting the blow dryer all over.
- Aim carefully. Blow dry with the nozzle facing downward and lead it down each section with a boar bristle brush. Following the direction of the hair cuticle will add shine and a soft bristle brush will pull hair straight without snagging or breakage.

Nice but not great
Nice hair dryer, I have very thick hair and was looking forward to drying my hair 60% faster than my old dryer. It is no faster at all. I do however like the extra long cord, the shortness of the dryer. I find the positioning of the buttons awkward as you tend to shut it off or change settings as you are drying. Overall not worth the extra money.

Best Hair Dryer I've Owned
I've owned two other hairdryers that produced ionized heat (brands were Conair Pro and Remington T-Studio), and while I liked the Remington one more than the Conair Pro, they both don't compare to this dryer. I've been struggling with rough textured hair for the past year due to bleaching and dyeing my hair. My hair feels softer just by using it to rough dry my hair (no brush). Amazing. I admit that it was difficult for me to pay that much for a dryer, but it's a great machine. It exceeded my expectations and I'm happy with my purchase.

By far the best hairdryer ever
I purchased the Harry Josh about 1 year ago and this was the best purchase ever. This hairdryer has reduced my drying time by about 10 minutes a day. My former hair dryer blew up so I purchased the dry bar-a huge mistake. The dry bar was too hot for my hair and it fryed my ends. Now with the Harry Josh my hair is smooth and sleek like I like it. I hightly recommend investing in the Harry Josh. By far the best ever hair dryer. A great investment

Seems like a good investment
I just ordered it after reading several beauty magazine reviews, and it seems like a good long term invest plus I love the color! As much as I love the clean or girly colors available, seafoa green is a nice way to stand out.

did not live up to the hype
I purchased this largely because of the stellar reviews and I much prefer my previous hairdryer (Tourmeline Featherweight). The Pro Dryer 2000 is very heavy and difficult to use without accidentally hitting the cold shot button repeatedly. I don't see any improvement versus the tourmaline which I have had for several years. The best part of the purchase was the hair clips that came with the dryer - they work very well.

Disappointed
I was excited to finally have this dryer, but when I used it, the air flow is so strong- even on the low setting- it was like driving with your head out of a bullet train! My hair was so wild and dried so fast I couldn't style it. And the buttons are on the outside of the handle making it extremely difficult to turn on and off easily in between brushing when putting in rollers. And you MUST turn it off because of that airflow will blow everything over! For being so small, it's not even that light. On a more positive note, I do like the hair brush.

Not For Me
I have been wanting this dryer since it first came out, but it was @$300 then. When I saw Dermstore was running a special, I jumped right on it! I have very naturally curly hair that I love to straighten. When I wear it curly, if I don't let it dry naturally, then I prefer a diffuser, which also helps me to get a lot of volume & uniformed curls, as opposed to natural drying. I'm very particular about my hair - taking care of it, & making it look great. If you know what you're doing, with the right tools, it shouldn't take forever, & it should look like a professional did it. If you believe the styling of your hair begins with the blow drying of it, & how you go about it, I don't think this is the one for that. For anyone who approaches their hair the way I do, will understand. I found this dryer to be awkward for straightening. I section my hair & use a tourmaline roll brush with the blow dryer. I had a hard time getting good control & aim over the dryer. It blows very hard & fast, & blew more hair off the brush & actually broke pieces! Even using the directional nozzles was awkward & too much force. The compact size of the dryer also made it too easy for hairs to get sucked into the back end of the dryer, so I had to be careful. Even then I still ended up getting one small section sucked in, causing that burning smell of a piece of my hair that was stuck, & a knotted piece. It made me feel like it was the first time I'd ever tried to do this - when you're first learning to get your skills down. Lol. This dryer added 10 minutes to my routine due to the awkward-ness, & then another ten cuz I had to spend more time with a straightening iron after. If you have short hair, or are the type who likes to dry your hair any old way just to get it dry, & THEN you begin your styling, then you'll love it. It's very fast, & definitely will give you volume. I realize I'm in the minority here about not liking it, but like I said, it's about how you go about styling your hair. Otherwise, yes, I totally see why it's loved.
