For best results, hair should be clean and dry. Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The switch is located on the opposite side of the indicator light on the digital thermometer. Then, select desired temperature on the digital thermometer. Iron has reached target temperature when blue light stops flashing.
Divide hair into 1-inch sections. Maintaining some tension, slowly side the iron down each section of hair from roots to ends. Be careful to avoid touching your hands or scalp with the hot plates. Allow hair to cool before combing or brushing. Once styling is complete, unplug the iron and allow to cool before storing.
Suggested usage temperature:
360-425 degrees F (coarse, very thick)
340-360 degrees F (wavy, curly)
320-340 degrees F (normal, textured)
300-320 degrees F (thin, easy to curl)
235-300 degrees F (fragile, very fine)
Auto shut-off feature after 60 minutes for added safety.

Not worth the price
If you have thick hair I would keep looking. I had high hopes for this flat iron but I was very disappointed. It's cheap looking design could have been forgiven if it made up in performance but sadly it did not. It did not leave my hair shiny like a good ionizing flat iron does and it's small size means it takes forever to get through thick hair even at 425. Honestly the Remington I bought at Walmart until I can get a suitable replacement works better and that was $30. I returned after one use and will keep searching.

Great Flat Iron
This is a great flat iron! It's the perfect size to create curls, smooth frizz, or get stick straight hair (I never do that) if you'd like. I took a star off for the price. Not for the $140 price tag but for the $200 price tag. It is ALWAYS on sale for $140 which tells me it wasn't worth $200. Why not just make the price $140??? It's just misleading to me.

I never heard of Harry Josh pro tools before I read an article that stated this was an excellent flat iron (the article was rating several flat irons). I bought this one and 2 others that were recommended (Bio Ionic and t3). This one is the best by far. I have fine, curly, frizzy, long, thick hair and this flat iron makes my hair soft and frizz free for days. I only wash my hair about once a week and this flat iron cuts down my styling time. I do not wear my hair completely flat, I like body and when I first tried this flat iron, I had it on the highest heat setting and it left my hair totally smooth and a little to flat. The next time I styled it, I turned to 400 and that seemed to be the perfect heat setting (my stylist told me you are supposed to lower the heat and go over your hair more than once rather than have the heat super hot). I also love the bigger plates and the plastic sleeve. It's a game changer!

I just received this flat iron yesterday, along with the hair dryer and curling iron. I used the flat iron this morning and I am so happy with this flat iron that I am going to buy the travel size one as well! I have thin hair that I want to grow out and I love that I was able to put this on a very low heat setting and was still able to achieve the results I was looking for! I also love the color!
