Eminence Organic Skincare's Tropical Vanilla Day Cream SPF 40 is an all-mineral SPF moisturizer that protects and revitalizes skin. Formulated with vanilla, shea butter and SPF 40, this tropical day cream provides all mineral protection to help shield against sun damage and keeps skin soft and hydrated.
Key Ingredients:
- Zinc Oxide: a natural mineral that provides a physical barrier, helping protect skin from sun damage
- Linden Tea: supplies bioflavonoids; hydrates and reveals rejuvenated-looking skin
- Aloe: helps with the appearance of skin that is irritated and shows the effects of UV ray exposure; hydrates and softens the skin
- Shea Butter: moisturizer; high in triglycerides and fatty acids, it is an excellent emollient that revitalizes and repairs dry skin
- Vanilla: relaxing and uplifting scent

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.
Sun protection measures: spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including limiting time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

Used to love it
Use to love it, and wore on top of my other Eminence moisturizers year round. Never left a white chalky finish. This new one I have just opened and applied has a strong perfume smell to it. Not at all like the Vanilla I loved and was used to. My eyes are also starting to burn. What happened???? This is awfully disappointing. Onto a search for a "clean" SPF for the face. UGHHHH

Tried and trusted
I have combination skin, and have used this product in my regimen for 10 years. This product hydrates skin well and makes a great base to apply foundation over. A little goes a long way, and adding the tiniest drop of moisture mist or water to fingertips helps product glide over skin. I’ve never had a chalky or tacky residue left on my skin, it always absorbs well and added bonus that it smells like vacation.

Not their best
I’m a huge fan of Eminence. While this moisturizer smells nice, it leaves what I can only describe as a “chalky” film (typical of most mineral sunscreens). More importantly, since Eminence moisturizers are supposed to be cut with water to achieve the right hydration level for one’s unique skin type, I’d hesitate to rely on this for SPF protection... oilier or humidity-sensitive skin types needing more water may not get the protection needed. I prefer to use their non-SPF moisturizers with a separate SPF application.

Wanted to love it…
I love the moisturizers but Eminence, but this sunscreen suffers the same issue many other physical sunscreens do - the chalky, white film. Just leaves my skin looking dull.

I love Eminence products...except this one
Unfortunately, I won't be able to use this as intended. It left a strange "tacky" feeling on my skin throughout the day, and never soaked in. Began to rub off throughout the day. Will be buying a different Eminence moisturized with SPF, but can't recommend this.

This sunscreen is a bit too heavy to use in conjunction with other moisturizers or facial oils. If you're looking for something to use on its own, this is a great option.

Soooo thin and like a mask
Terrible sunscreen, and I question the legitimacy of these "supposed" good reviews! As an avid sunscreen wearer this product was a complete disappointment. It doesn't dry and the tinted color is not neutral at all but instead has a pink/ orange undertone and is very visible on the skin! Product moves throughout the day therefore transferring easily when you touch your face and or it makes contact with clothing. It got all over my shirt from wearing the sunscreen on my neck! Doesn't work well under makeup either. Also it feels very greasy and gross on the skin. Don't recommend this product at all! Returned immediately.
