EltaMD's UV Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ provides powerful protection against UVA and UVB rays. Water and sweat-resistant, this advanced formula absorbs quickly into the skin hydrating and calming heated and red skin without leaving the face shiny or with a white cast. When applied, a sheen-like look appears then immediately dries down to a matte finish helping to even skin tone. Antioxidant protection combats skin-aging free radicals associated with ultraviolet, infrared radiation while offering high-energy visible (HEV) light protection.
Key Ingredients:
- Zinc Oxide: natural mineral compound that works as a sunscreen agent by reflecting and scattering UVA and UVB rays
- Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid): humectant that attracts and retains moisture, improving skin feel and restores suppleness

Tip: UV Sheer does not require a special cleanser and can be easily removed by regular facial wash.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours. For use on children under 6 months, ask a physician.

NOT sheer!!
I'm fair skinned (NC 20/25 in MAC), and this sunscreen leaves a very noticeable whitecast on me. It's very hard to apply this sunscreen evenly. The texture turns clumpy while drying, and dries quickly. Pills, but not as bad as UV Clear. This sunscreen gave me contact dermatitis. I believe it was the Octocrylene. I had a similar reaction to Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Ultra Sheer SPF 30. I question whether the previous reviews are actually applying two milligrams of sunscreen per square centimeter of skin. Any sunscreen could be sheer, if you're applying a minuscule amount.

Secret Invisible Sunscreen - No Transfer onto Clothing
I switched to this sunscreen about a month ago and have been very happy with it. It checks all the boxes for me: goes on smoothly, doesn't leave a white cast, doesn't sting my eyes and doesn't transfer to clothing. When I apply it, it absorbs nicely and has a similar feel to other moisturizing and antioxidant products. I wear a moisturizer under it and a very light layer of foundation over it.

THE BEST SUNSCREEN
I Love the EltaMd sheer sunscreen! What I like best is that it glides on my skin and I cant even tell that I have it on. I have very sun damaged and fragile skin and all other sunscreens make me itch like crazy and turn my neck red. I am a redhead with very pale sensitive skin. I cant use the tinted sunscreens - they are just too dark on my skin. If I am going to be out walking/hiking in hot conditions and sweating I will layer Eltamd UV Sport Spf 50 on top of the Sheer and have found this is bulletproof that I will not burn or sweat off. Highly Highly recommend.

Awesome sunscreen
I have Elta MD clear spf46 sunscreen that I love and decided to try out this new one. It's nice, but I prefer the spf46 one. This sheer one is more liquidy and leaves my face a bit shiny compared to the spf46 one
