EltaMD's UV Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ provides powerful protection against UVA and UVB rays. Water and sweat-resistant, this advanced formula absorbs quickly into the skin hydrating and calming heated and red skin without leaving the face shiny or with a white cast. When applied, a sheen-like look appears then immediately dries down to a matte finish helping to even skin tone. Antioxidant protection combats skin-aging free radicals associated with ultraviolet, infrared radiation while offering high-energy visible (HEV) light protection.

Tip: UV Sheer does not require a special cleanser and can be easily removed by regular facial wash.

Awesome sunscreen, I have tan skin and it does not leave a white cast at all, very light and easy to work into the skin, does not leave the skin oily and I do have combination skin, so it looks really good on my T zone. I love it!!

Sadly, Causes Stinging in Eyes, Otherwise Nice Sunscreen
I've tried several combo sunscreens (chemical plus mineral ingredients) and always have a problem with them running into my eyes and causing stinging. I'll have to stick with all mineral sunscreens from now on. Otherwise, this is a nice sunscreen. It does leave a slight white cast and is a bit too shiny for my liking. It applies and re-applies very well and there's no noticeable smell. It did not settle into lines or into my pores, leaving a face full of white dots.

A good sunscreen
You cannot go wrong with Elta MD sunscreens. This sunscreen feels lightweight, and the HA and squalane give you a nice plump and glow! This does not leave a white cast on my fair skin. However, I'm not sure how it would blend on darker complexions. I love to use this sunscreen when I workout because it's water resistant and doesn't burn my eyes. My only complaint is that the packaging does not have a pump.

This is a really nice mineral sunscreen. It has a nice texture and rubs in easily. There is some white cast since it is a mineral sunscreen, but it is much less than most mineral sunscreens leave behind.

On the fence for this
I like the watery consistency of this product but I have noticed over a couple weeks of using it that it turns my face a blueish-white tinge that I usually feel like I need to cover with a powder foundation. It's not too hard to work-in but I don't like this sunscreen as much as the Clear one by Elta MD just because of the whitish cast.

Wish I wasn't obsessed
Love this sunscreen. Almost no cast at all, can put it on without a mirror, absorbs instantly. $30 for one ounce! Good god! Totally worth it though. I have tried a few other brands that I thought would give similar results, but they are nothing like this one. I try to limit this one to using just for reapplication when I'm outside/in a hurry.

Best sunscreen
I have been an Elta UV Clear devotee for years, but the new sheer sunscreen is my new favorite. The addition of Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid is such a bonus! This formula is so much lighter than the UV Clear, but not gritty, drying nor whitening. I love that it is also water- and sweat-resistant and has a higher % of zinc.

no white cast
this thin, lotion-like sunscreen does not leave a white cast. it spreads smoothly, and leaves the tiniest bit of stickiness. there is a slight sheen on your face that does not look oily and can be negated easily by makeup, which does not ball up. this sunscreen has a very slight chemical scent that disappears.
