EltaMD's UV Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ provides powerful protection against UVA and UVB rays. Water and sweat-resistant, this advanced formula absorbs quickly into the skin hydrating and calming heated and red skin without leaving the face shiny or with a white cast. When applied, a sheen-like look appears then immediately dries down to a matte finish helping to even skin tone. Antioxidant protection combats skin-aging free radicals associated with ultraviolet, infrared radiation while offering high-energy visible (HEV) light protection.

Tip: UV Sheer does not require a special cleanser and can be easily removed by regular facial wash.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours. For use on children under 6 months, ask a physician.

It's Okay...
I bought this sunscreen to use on my neck specifically. Chemical sunscreens tend to irritate my skin or break me out, so I gravitate towards mineral sunscreens. However, I hate how mineral sunscreens I've tried feel on my neck and transfer onto my hair, making it crunchy. Since this was a combo sunscreen (physical/mineral), I thought it might be a good option. While this didn't cause my hair to be crunchy and didn't break me out, I didn't love it because it was a bit greasy and sticky. It made my hair stick to my neck. Stickiness doesn't bother me on the face, so it could have been a great sunscreen for the face, except for the fact that it left a burning sensation like how chemical sunscreens usually do. It is lightweight and spreads nicely, and I think it would sit under makeup well. In conclusion, this was an okay sunscreen. I didn't love it or hate it and finished it. I might recommend it to others that can use chemical sunscreens on the face. Will I repurchase? Probably not.

Good sunscreen!
I liked the texture and how easy it glides on the skin. However, it is not sheer, sometimes I find white residue. You need to take some time to make it blend in your skin, but it works.

Excellent Sheer Protection
I was using this on my face when I took a break from the UV Sport cream and it really does provide excellent non-greasy protection. I re-applied it a fair amount and my skin would always absorb it quickly and I never got burnt.

If you're debating. You can stop and go with this one. After many hours researching sunscreens, I settled on this one and I don't think I'll be trying any others. I have sensitive acne-prone skin. This is one of my favorite combination (physical/chemical) sunscreens. It does leave a slight white cast on my light-medium skin but definitely much better than a physical-only sunscreen. I use 1 pump of elta md Uv elements tinted to cover any cast (with this sunscreen or any other physical sunscreen) and it’s great! It’s moisturizing to me, so I skip a moisturizer in the AM with this.

The Perfect Sunscreen!
Couldn’t stop myself from writing a review! UV Sheer is an absolutely phenomenal sunscreen … it's so light and nourishes my sensitive skin from the inside out with its added moisturizers and antioxidants. My favorite part about UV Sheer is that it does NOT leave that dreadful white, chalky cast. I actually switched to UV Sheer from UV Clear because unfortunately that formula would leave a white residue on my face. It was especially noticeable after putting on make up. So far, I haven’t experienced any problems with UV Sheer, it goes on perfectly clear and does not clash with foundation or concealer. I actually find that it acts more like a primer and makes my makeup go on smoother. An added bonus is that it does not irritate my eyes or have a chemical smell. Overall, great sunscreen that’s perfect for daily use whether under makeup or without! Thank you Elta MD! This is a definitely a staple in my skincare routine!
