EltaMD's UV Sheer Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ provides powerful protection against UVA and UVB rays. Water and sweat-resistant, this advanced formula absorbs quickly into the skin hydrating and calming heated and red skin without leaving the face shiny or with a white cast. When applied, a sheen-like look appears then immediately dries down to a matte finish helping to even skin tone. Antioxidant protection combats skin-aging free radicals associated with ultraviolet, infrared radiation while offering high-energy visible (HEV) light protection.

Tip: UV Sheer does not require a special cleanser and can be easily removed by regular facial wash.

I'm embarrassed to list the number of sunscreens I've tried & hated until this one. This checks ALL my boxes: lightweight, water resistant, no white cast, doesn't interfere with makeup application, doesn't pill or make "eraser dirt", doesn't cost a million dollars, isn't dewy/oily, doesn't smell to high heaven - it's pretty much perfect. Can't recommend this enough!

Great for sensitive skin
I bought this version for the gym because it was water proof. Well it isn’t sweat proof but I still came to love this product. Unlike the other elta md sunscreen I have that has niacinamide in it, this one does not flush my skin and give me red cheeks for the first hour after application. This product also has a thinner consistency and took some getting used to but I would definitely repurchase.

I am allergic to the chemicals in most sunscreens, which means I would only be able to use zinc oxide ones and they leave a horrible white cast, even on me and I’m very pale already. This sunscreen doesn’t leave a white cast, and I’m not allergic to it. Also gives my skin a natural glow when it is usually dull and dry. I would be devastated if they ever stop making this sunscreen because it is literally the only one that works for me.

I have been using this product for the last year and have not suffered from a single sunburn. I am a triathlete and constantly putting it to the test. The consistency is a bit runny, but absorbs into the skin fine. It does seem to leave a white cast on my skin, but not extreme. I figure due to the higher zinc oxide content, it's inevitable and worth it for the coverage. Also does well under makeup.

Not as good as Elta's UV Shield
I tried this as an alternative to EltaMD's UV Shield, which I believe to be a superior product. This goes on and absorbs well, leaves no white cast, and is non irritating. It's a little too shiny for me, but not as bad as some other sunscreens I've used. And the scent is mild to nonexistent. I appreciate that because most products are heavily scented these days and really bother me.
