EltaMD's UV Restore Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 is a 100% physical sunscreen that helps to restore sun-damaged skin and offers high-energy visible (HEV) light protection. Ginger root extract and saccharide isomerate help to boost a healthy complexion by improving skin smoothness, minimizing dark spots and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Squalane restores the skin’s natural moisture and suppleness while antioxidants combat free radicals associated with ultraviolet (UV) and infrared radiation (IR).

Feels nice, looks awful
I have been a diehard user of the EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum and Daily Broad Spectrum sunscreens. I have used them for around 5 years and absolutely love how they hydrate and protect. Given winter is upon us, I ordered the EltaMD Restore and am severely disappointed. It feels very nice on the skin, but looks awful. - It does not spread well - It leaves white streaks and collects in white chunks anywhere it touches dry skin. - Leaves an overall white cast on the skin - and I'm quite fair skinned, so cannot imagine trying it on a darker complexion. - It forms a hardened plug in the pump nozzle every day - If you try to layer this over a serum or vitamin c, it will ball up I will not buy this again and will go back to the traditional formulas. Really unfortunate that this is a $35+ bottle.

Great texture, quite white
I ordered this product recently, and have only used it one day so far. I will update my review should my opinion change, or if it causes me to break out. I love the texture of the product, as it goes on smoothly. This is rare for a physical sunscreen, and I hate to have to tug on my skin during application. It always dries to a nice satin finish. Not too oily, not too dry. My only concern thus far, is that the sunscreen appears very white on the skin, even on my very fair skin. It doesn't look bad per say, but it does get stuck in my hair line. I used 2 pumps for my face and neck, which I did not feel was too much. I will try using less tomorrow and see if I have the same issue, but I don't want to use too little and miss out on the sun protection. My main concern with this is on reapplication. I reapplied in the afternoon, and the product went on very smooth which was really nice. However, now my skin is very very white. I personally like a porcelain look, but it now looks quite different than my hands. I have not yet decided if this is a big enough issue to prevent repurchase, as I like almost everything else about it. I will try slightly less product and better blending around my hairline.
