EltaMD's UV Restore Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 is a 100% physical sunscreen that helps to restore sun-damaged skin and offers high-energy visible (HEV) light protection. Ginger root extract and saccharide isomerate help to boost a healthy complexion by improving skin smoothness, minimizing dark spots and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Squalane restores the skin’s natural moisture and suppleness while antioxidants combat free radicals associated with ultraviolet (UV) and infrared radiation (IR).

Very Moisturizing
I can easily skip moisturizer on the days I use this product. Although I'm already a 6-step skincare junkie somehow this spf has further diminished the fine lines on my forehead and my skin looks plumper. I was shocked. My only complaint is that although I am pale, it still makes me look ghostly so I may purchase the tinted version to add one pump to the white. Will definitely repurchase for the dryer winter months.

My go-to sunscreen
I was super interested in buying this as soon as it launched and I was very nervous to try it but it turned out to become my new favorite sunscreen! I was quite shocked to hear that this didn't work well for others but it works amazing on my skin. I have fair skin and this does not leave a white cast on me like others do, it doesn't collect on my hair, doesn't pill and it melts right into my skin. I have dry skin and this leaves me with an amazing glow.

I'm a huge EltaMD fan. I use EltaMD physical sunscreen every day. I recommend it and Dermstore to all my clients. UV Clear Broad Spectrum and UV Phyical Broad Spectrum 41 Tinted have been my all time favorites. I was excited to see this new sunscreen would combine treatment and sunscreen. I apply to a clean dry face and allow it to absorb before adding any make up. It goes on smoothly with no pilling. A very very minor white cast disappears quickly and only my natural skin tone is visible. I love that I never have a greasy look with my chosen EltaMD sunscreens. I need to use it longer to see if there are any bonus skin improvements. I LOVE the new packaging too! The soft pump container is great. I always feel confident recommending a EltaMD sunscreen.

There are better Elta MD sunscreen options
I hate to leave this review but need to warn others to stay away from this sunscreen. Leaves a terrible whitecast no matter how much blending, and the cast does not go away after the 20 mins that I allow it to set before makeup. Collects in eyebrows, makes my oily skin look and feel dry, and does not work under makeup like so many other Elta MD sunscreens that are top notch. Perhaps the tinted version works better but I'll stick with my Elta MD UV Elements tinted.

I wanted to love this product as much as I love all of the other EltaMD products I have tried but sadly I did not. This left a white cast to my skin no matter how much I attempted to rub the product in. My skin is very dry and will occasionally have dry patches. This just made the dry patches stand out even more thanks to the white shadow they now had. I also feel that this product did not melt into my skin but would "drag" around instead. I wish this had worked for me because on paper it is the perfect product. Sadly I will be returning.
