EltaMD's UV Restore Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 is a 100% physical sunscreen that helps to restore sun-damaged skin and offers high-energy visible (HEV) light protection. Ginger root extract and saccharide isomerate help to boost a healthy complexion by improving skin smoothness, minimizing dark spots and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Squalane restores the skin’s natural moisture and suppleness while antioxidants combat free radicals associated with ultraviolet (UV) and infrared radiation (IR).

Expected Better from EltaMD
I wanted to love this. I am long-time EltaMD UV Shield user. When I saw this product, I thought the addition of the skin care elements would make it even better. Nope. It is greasy, very white on the skin, and no matter how careful I am with application it always - and I mean ALWAYS...Every. Single. Time. - migrates to my eyes. It never absorbs or sets up on my skin. So, I'm back to the regular UV Shield products with a little moisturizer underneath. I am giving it two stars instead of 1 because it is mostly unscented and it did not irritate my skin.

No skin reaction/White Cast
I'm leaving a 3 star review. The formula was great, my skin did't have a bad reaction or a break out. Just the harshness of the white cast has this review at 3 stars. I already have very fair skin and the white cast made me look like a ghost. I like the other formulas within ELTA MD, this one was just not for me.

Great daily sunscreen
While this is not my favorite Elta sunscreen, I do use it daily because of its physical sunscreen ingredients. I get hyperpigmentation and brown spots very easily and need a physical sunscreen to prevent further darkening. This sunscreen leaves a white cast, but it can be rubbed in to help that. I like the consistency the most about this, it's light and makes my skin glow. Until I'm able to find a purely physical sunscreen without a white cast, I'll use this daily. On another note, I'd really wish they got rid of this type of packaging a pump. It never works so I have to twist the whole top off to use it every day.

Definitely has a white cast but is unavoidable without using chemical sunscreen so I don't mind. This product can be a little drying throughout the day.

I like the normal elta more
I think I purchased this on accident, but I am very loyal to the original and more popular elta formula. this one felt really thick and did leave a cast. not great for everyday use

this sunscreen is fully unscented, it has no chemical masking scent. it will not leave a white cast if applied properly. the texture is thin and lotion-like. it feels hydrating, yet leaves you with a close-to-matte finish.

Good all-in-one facial sunscreen
At first, there is quite a white caste to your face, then it subsides. I like that this is an all physical sunscreen and the fact that I don't have to use a moisturizer in the morning. My only negative is that it is a bit greasy.
