EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 shields the skin from UVA and UVB damage during sun exposure. The gentle formula is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving an oily residue and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Safe for sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea.

- Zinc Oxide: Natural mineral compound that works as a sunscreen agent by reflecting and scattering UVA and UVB rays

Fantastic, non-chalky mineral sunscreen
I knew I needed to switch to a mineral sunscreen (as opposed to a chemical one), but I was worried it would be chalky and drying. This was surprisingly creamy, like a moisturizer, and left my face feeling dewy. I really love that this is such a simple product that JUST provides sun protection rather than trying to do a dozen things at once.

Gets onto clothing easily
This brand is top-notch. It is sold in my dermatologists office and is pricey, but is usually worth it. If I use it on my chest and neck, it leaves my black and dark swimsuit tops with the telltale white cast. It is kind of oily so I like it on my skin, but not on my clothing. This particular product is difficult to wash out…it does come out, but I have to really scrub it with detergent. Hard. I won’t purchase it any more because of this quality.

My favorite non-tinted sunscreen ever
I love the consistency (smooth) and the ease with which this rubs in. No running into eyes and stinging. There is a very subtle white cast, but I'm light-skinned (of Asian and Northern European descent), so it's not very noticeable on me. I tend to use a tinted sunscreen as my foundation, and use this on my neck and ears and arms. Hard to imagine finding a better option than this, especially at this price point.

I was looking for a purely physical/mineral sunscreen for my husband - this has water resistance which was key because he tends to sweat off regular sunscreen. This formulation is quite thick and is pretty heavy duty. maybe a bit heavy for a daily facial sunscreen, and tends to leave a white cast in his beard; but this has been great for his neck as it has some real staying power.
