EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 shields the skin from UVA and UVB damage during sun exposure. The gentle formula is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving an oily residue and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Safe for sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea.

Very Waterproof and Gentle
I'm loving this UV Pure sunscreen. It stays on all day and gently protects while moisturizing. It leaves a bit of a white cast and can settle into fine lines on the neck but I'm willing to accept that since it protects so well.

Elta md has knocked it out of the park with this all mineral sunscreen! Very hydrating, leaves a tiny bit of a white cast but the cast is very minimal. I put on top of this the Elta md Elements or my Supergoop cc cream. No irritation on my very hyper sensitive skin. Will definetly repurchase!

Not transparant. Crazy white cast!
I don't know how this company can claim this is a transparent formula. It's the opposite! It leaves a crazy white cast!! But it's definitely waterproof. Very hard to clean/rub this off.

New Summer HG
I ordered this because I'm allergic to chemical sunscreen and wanted to try something different on my face. My usual makes me really shiny and is only spf 30. This product takes a bit of extra work to get it rubbed in but once it is it is surprisingly not nearly as greasy as you would think. Of course it's a little greasy, but overall I'm really impressed with it. I didn't try any of the Elta face specific sunscreens because they either contain chemical spf or are tinted. I'm not the lightest person, but I am a close second and "light tint" usually means an unnatural shade on me. This has a bit of a white cast, but on me it doesn't seem like much plus it rubs in really well. If you don't already double cleanse you will definitely want to with this. I don't mind though, because I feel like it's worth the extra effort for the amount of protection it provides. There is no scent, which is also a plus.

Great for exercising and/or humid days
The cheapest and also the best rated of the Elta MD line on ewg.org (rated on safety and environmental impact). I'm an aggressive sunscreen-user, and my liberal use of the UV Clear line was getting too expensive. UV Pure feels a bit chalkier, and it definitely leaves a more noticeable white cast on my skin. I use it when I exercise outdoors or go to the beach, it holds up super well in humidity, and I'm pale enough that it's also fine to use on my neck, even though I prefer UV Clear for my face. Overall, a great addition to my routine!

One of the better body sunscreens
Am a fan of this Elta Md sunscreen. Love that it does not contain Avobenzene. However, I am rating 4 stars because I have pretty sensitive skin, especially my hands (hand dermatitis), and find that I have to moisturize my palms right after applying or else my palms will become dry during colder/dry temperatures.
