EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 shields the skin from UVA and UVB damage during sun exposure. The gentle formula is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving an oily residue and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Safe for sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea.

Reliable daily sunscreen
It's my third bottle. It does leave white cast for the first few minutes then it will almost disappear. I have acne prone skin and it doesn't break me out. It works well under the my makeup too. A comment below says it oxidize her foundation. I don't notice this at all. Last year I interchanged this with a couple bottles of LPR physical sunscreen. LPR is not as sticky but pricier and leaves more white cast on my warm undertone skin. Even I think it's good, but it's not perfect or my holy grail (still searching...). It's sticky/tacky and a bit oily but I guess this is what physical sunscreen is. When I run outside and when it mixes with my sweats, the white cast is more obvious.

This is an effective formula that offers a high concentration of zinc oxide and titanium. I actually prefer this to the comparable mineral formula from LRP. Safe for KP spots on skin, too.

Caused skin to turn red and burn; disappointing
This sunscreen caused my entire face to turn red and burn and I have no idea why. That was after a patch test on my arm that turned out fine. I've used other EltaMD sunscreens successfully and was excited to try this entirely mineral one that was touted as being safe for sensitive skin (the only other one is the UV Clear and it has Octinoxate); however, I obviously did not find that to be the case. I even tried using it another day just to make sure as I couldn't believe this product was causing a reaction and the same thing happened. Also, it does leave a significant white cast. So it was very disappointing for me but as always, it might be different for you. (Not sure why some of the punctuation isn't showing up properly in this review.)

Pretty Good Physical Sunscreen
What I expected from a physical sunscreen. Leaves a white cast but mostly disappears relatively quickly. Feels a bit sticky/chalky for most of the day...but it doesn't bother me, makes me feel protected. Will most likely repurchase.

Gentle on Sensitive Skin
I have very dry and sensitive skin, as well as rosacea. I have tried many mineral sunscreens, but for the past few years I have been very happy with this one. I apply it daily, mixed with Elta MD UV Physical tinted sunscreen to match my pale skin tone without looking dead-white. The texture is very smooth and pleasant on the skin, and it has never caused a reaction on my face, neck, or body. I have never burned or tanned while wearing it, reapplying every two hours when outside, or 1-2 times a day when inside. It does leave a visible sheen on my face, but powder tones that down. Also, like most mineral sunscreens, this one can be difficult to remove with a typical cleanser, but it comes off easily with oil / balm cleanser. And the price is very reasonable.

Good Mineral Sunscreen
I got this for my husband, as he has been trying to use sunscreen on his face on a more regular basis to help with skin cancer prevention. According to the ingredients, it has a decent amount of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so should offer good protection. He says that it is not difficult to rub in and does not leave his already oily skin feeling greasy.The price is good for the quality of the product, and we will probably buy it again once it runs out.
