EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 shields the skin from UVA and UVB damage during sun exposure. The gentle formula is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving an oily residue and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Safe for sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea.

Lightweight every day sunscreen
Good for daily use under makeup. I have combination skin and this absorbs easily without leaving any oily residue. It also does not leave a white cast after absorption and contains only mineral sunscreen active ingredients.

Pretty great for what it is
I'm a big believer that, for daily use, you don't need a water resistant sunscreen. I use this for when I'm going to be active outdoors and, for a water resistant mineral sunscreen, it's pretty darn good. It doesn't pill, it's not drying, it doesn't cling to dry patches, and the white cast does lessen as it dries down (probably not suitable for anyone Fitzpatrick phototype 4 or higher, though). And it does dry down! It's very water resistant but comes off easily with an oil-based cleanser. It doesn't sting or burn (it's a mineral sunscreen so that's expected) and doesn't transfer into my eyes.

Not the Best Elta for Everyday
Of all of the EltaMD sunscreens, I found this one the heaviest. Too heavy and for everyday wear, but would be fine if you were at the beach or hiking. The white cast is definitely noticeable on this one. On a positive note, it did not cause any irritation and definitely protects from the sun.
