EltaMD UV Facial Broad-Spectrum SPF 30 Plus (formerly EltaMD UV Facial SPF 30 Plus) protects the skin especially dry and sensitive skin after microdermabrasion, laser and peel treatments. The lightweight formula shields the skin from damaging UVA and UVB rays and also moisturizes for a smooth complexion. Vitamin E shields the skin from free-radical damage to prevent early signs of aging.

- Zinc Oxide: natural mineral compound that works as a sunscreen agent by reflecting and scattering UVA and UVB rays

All time favorite sunscreen
I've been using this sunscreen for years now, and still the best I can find. In summer especially it's moisturizing enough that I don't need an additional moisturizer and great coverage for daily use. No white cast, goes on smoothly, and I trust the brand completely.

Not for my skin
I love the Elta MD cleanser, so I decided to try this. It seemed to cause my face to break out a bit, so that wasn't great. I was bummed out, since so many people swear by it.

Great basic sunscreen
Bought this because it seemed to be a good workhorse sunscreen to complement the UV Clear. I now use it on my neck and arms/hands, since it feels like a waste to apply the UV Clear so liberally other than my face (anyone else feel the same way?) It's non-greasy, sinks right in, and teases you about a white cast before melting away a few seconds later. So far so great. -Update- After about 3 weeks of using this sunscreen, I realized that it is probably the culprit behind my new, never-happened before HIVES. I am fortunate to have a fairly non-reactive skin (ex. my face took Biologique Recherche P50 like a champ) so I was SHOCKED when I started to get hives on my arms and hands which is where I apply the UV Facial every day. It's probably a combination of the sun exposure and something in the sunscreen, but for now, this is getting tossed.

Alternative for makeup/moisturizer during the day
I am almost 74 years old, and I've been using this product for several years now. I am grateful for it, because it hydrates my skin during the day while protecting it-so my skin looks better (by far) than if I just went out with maybe some lotion on my face. It says "moisturizing" in the title-be sure to get that one. And it lasts longer than the product packaged in the little pump bottle. It is maybe a little shiny, but I don't care. In the Southwest, if you don't have sunscreen on your face, you're in trouble. I love this product, and will continue to use it.

Great Sunscreen for Normal/Oily Skin
Decided to try this sunscreen because it's cheaper per oz than other elta md sunscreens. Overall I really love it; no smell, applies really evenly and plays well with makeup or other products. There is no white cast on me but I have very fair skin. I do find it a little drying though, once I started using it I felt the need to re-apply moisturizer a few hours into the day. I'm on Accutane though with extra dry skin currently so I expect it will work well for those with normal or oily skin.

Allergic reaction?
The good: no white cast, easy-to-apply texture, no strong sunscreen scent. The bad: allergic reaction to, I think, the octinoxate. This product confirmed that I am allergic to all chemical sunscreens. For those who are not allergic, this would be a good sunscreen given its ability to block a broad UV spectrum.
