EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - Tinted calms and protects sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts from the sun's harmful rays. The universally flattering tint blends to match your skin tone and mask discoloration and breakouts to give you a smooth, flawless-looking complexion. Healing niacinamide alleviates inflammation to calm your acne flare-ups and helps decrease signs of hyperpigmentation.

Causes Dry Skin
I wrote a review a few weeks back raving about this product, but I should have waited longer. After consistently using this SPF for a few weeks I'm experiencing extremely dry and flaky skin. I have normal to combination skin (oily in the summer/dry in the winter). I also want to clarify that I have an extensive nightly/morning skin care routine and my skin is very hydrated and moisturized prior to applying this product. I haven't experienced flaky skin since I was a pre-teen. With all that being said, I still really love how this product applies and how it initially makes my skin look. It's really unfortunate that I start to look like a reptile halfway through the day lol. I'm going to try to finish the bottle unless it becomes unbearable. I'm hoping that my skin adjusts or the summer humidity in the upcoming months helps.

I love Elta MD but I found that the tint was too dark for my pale complexion. I will go back to using the regular un-tinted version.

Great Tinted Sunscreen
If you are acne prone and looking for a tinted SPF, this is it. Has all the same ingredients and benefits (brightening, anti-acne) as the oh-so popular UV Clear non-tinted one with some light/sheer coverage. One thing to note though: be careful how many products you layer underneath this (serums, moisturizers, etc.) or you'll notice that the finish may be a little off or patchy. It can even pill if you apply too many other products before this, so keep that in mind.

I loved the untinted version but I think I love the tinted even more because its perfect for every day minimal skin coverage. effortless but makes you look more put together! the dewy finish is perfect and not greasy and on hotter days this can double as moisturizer and spf if you have more oily combo skin! overall I highly recommend and will continue to repurchase. elta md still is my go to to sunscreen.

It is SO nice to have a facial sunscreen that isn't greasy and feels like it actually soaks into your skin, plus it's tinted so you know it's not going to leave a white cast. this sunscreen helps with protection, it doesn't irritate my skin and helps with my breakouts. I won't buy it again though because the tint is very dark and doesn't work with my skin color, it leaves an orange/brown edge and is also very shiny on my skin.

Causes Acne Breakout

Pleasantly Surprised by this Sunscreen
I typically use a physical sunscreen as I love the coverage and protection that I was getting. I recently switched to this product and am now convinced that chemical is the way to go. I love that you cannot "feel" it on your skin and yet you know it is there protecting / moisturizing and doing its job.
