EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - Tinted calms and protects sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts from the sun's harmful rays. The universally flattering tint blends to match your skin tone and mask discoloration and breakouts to give you a smooth, flawless-looking complexion. Healing niacinamide alleviates inflammation to calm your acne flare-ups and helps decrease signs of hyperpigmentation.

- 9.0% Transparent Zinc Oxide: protects the skin against damaging UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays

I love EltaMD sunscreens so much that I have a tube of the regular, tinted spf 40 and tinted spf 46 all in my vanity. For those wondering about the difference: I find this tinted to be much lighter/more sheer than the spf 40 for some reason, so if you’re not sure about the color match or are looking for less coverage, I’d definitely recommend starting here. (I don’t notice much of a difference in terms of sun protection - I’ve never burned with the correct application of either.) This gives a bit of a blurring effect so I find it’s perfect if you’re going out for a hike or headed to the beach and don’t want to look like you tried but still want a little something!

Love this. It’s light weight, not greasy, and totally wearable. Most days that I don’t want to wear a full face a makeup I use this as my base foundation. The tint is great, and the sunscreen provides great coverage- I Know it works because my shoulders got sunburned the other day, but not an ounce of red on my face! I have a normal skin, medium coloring for reference.

It has glow without agrees, it’s moisturizing without being heavy…it’s just perfect! I use both the clear and the tinted. Sometimes I just wanna switch it up. I’m pretty pale to begin with, and I’ve never noticed any white cast from the regular version. I have been purchasing the UV clear regular for years. Every now and then I like to mix things up and get the tinted one as well. The formula is gorgeous, is non-irritating, absolutely does not cause breakouts; it feels silky, light, and elegant. That being said, I’ve come to prefer the non-tinted. They did such a good job making a mineral/ chemical combination sunscreen that leaves zero white cast, that I simply do not feel I need tinted. It’s just a matter of personal preference. I still really enjoyed this product, but it’s not the one I’m constantly reaching for. I get it every now and then just to make things up! Awesome product that does what it says it will!
