EltaMD SPF 46
I found EltaMD SPF 46 is better for skin that is not on the dryer side. I have used both EltaMD SPF 40 and EltaMD SPF 46. My skin is on dry side, so the so the EltaMD SPF 46 was uncomfortable, and I found the EltaMD SPF 40 with hyaluronic acid is perfect for me. My hubby's skin is on oilier side, so the EltaMD SPF 46 is the only one that he can use. I love that this lotion leaves no white residue and has great sun protection. It does not irritate my eyes, and when my grandkids come to swim at my pool I use EltaMD SPF on their faces too.

Favorite Outdoor SPF
My favorite non tinted SPF for working out and being outdoors! I like that it leaves my face a little shiny, but it might be a turnoff for some people. It applies nicely under my makeup when necessary as well. I have been purchasing this sunscreen for about 2 years and will continue to do so. I have sensitive skin and it does not irritate my face, even though its a chemical sunscreen. Usually I can only use mineral sunscreens!

The only sunscreen I'll ever use
I used to have very oily/acne prone skin and hated using sunscreen because it felt so heavy. During Accutane, my derm recommended this, and I LOVE it so much. I use 2-3 fingers on my face and neck and it doesn't break me out even after stopping Accutane (I have combo skin now). It doesn't leave a white cast. Sometimes I experience pilling but I found that it pills less when I put it on immediately after my skincare when my skin is slightly damp. I don't feel a need to try other sunscreens because this works so well for me!

Mostly Perfect?
This is my favorite everyday sunscreen, year round. It feels like a light moisturizer, absorbs quickly, and is completely invisible. It totally disappears after application: no funny texture or residue. The potential downside-- the active ingredients in this chemical sunscreen are not reef safe. Not that I swim in the ocean regularly, but I can't find any good info about what happens to the chemicals after they've been washed off your face and down the drain. Do they get neutralized or filtered out at the water treatment facility? Will they somehow end up making their way to the ocean one day? Are there any other environmental concerns with this product? Who knows. PS. If you have dry skin, you may need additional moisturizers.

I've used this on and off for about 8 years now. It is an AMAZING sunscreen. I have very fair skin and I don't even get a little red. In addition, it clears up your skin! I formed little bumps on my chin in my early 30's and as a great side effect, they were gone after using this consistently in 2 weeks! Please know that it CAN dry out your skin so try to use a deep moisturizer at night. Elta MD is awesome at a great price point.
