I like how powerful this sunscreen is. It is oil-free and perfect for sensitive skin, yet very effective. It goes on creamy but as soon as it soaks in your skin, it feel weightless.

truly the most outstanding, all-around facial sunscreen i've used
i have very fussy, cystic acne-prone yet dry, sun-damaged, 33 year old Irish beyond-it's-years, why did I ever use a tanning bed in my youth skin...ever since majorly embarassing, upsetting Melasma (aforementioned tanning beds a decade ago) reared it's ugly head, I have been diligent and sunscreen obsessed. Melasma is a beast, and costly and difficult to get rid of, thus sunscreen even on rainy days is an absolute must. Obagi worked well, as have Chantecaille and a number of others, however I've found the Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46 to be hands down the best. It never upsets, burns, stings, breaks me out or irritates me. The zinc oxide blends surprisingly well. Living in Southern California, I wear it 365 days a year, the only time I don't wear it is to bed! Truly, if you have difficult skin that needs sun protection, I highly recommend it. I usually put it over the Glycolix Ultra Lite Moisturizer, but in the summer or if I don't seem to need additional moisture, just put it on after washing with Glytone & my Clairsonic...

Favorite daily face sunscreen ever!
My niece recommended this sunscreen to me and I am so thankful. I have searched for a daily sunscreen that didn't burn when applied, or look white, or be greasy on my skin. THIS is the one. This is the best sunscreen so far that my dermotologit has recommended. Texture of this is unlike any other sunscreen i've ever tried. it's like a light oil free moisturizer that leaves you looking fresh and not at ALL greasy or shiny. It sinks right into your skin. I love the fact that it contains niacinamide. I also like that it does not clog or irritate my acne-prone skin. It's so silky-smooth, it just glides evenly over your skin, which means you don't have to stand in front of the mirror blending for five full minutes to get your face to look normal. It does leave the slightest white cast, but it's actually very flattering and brightening, not ghastly or unnatural-looking at all.

I have used sunscreen on my face for the past 15 years and have tried numerous products. This is the lightest and least irritating to my face, and it also does not cause breakouts, to which I am prone. I also like that it has an SPF of 46, where most facial products are 15. I previously used Elta 41 but did not care for the tint. This is far and away the best facial sunscreen I have used. Note: in the summer, this is enough for me to use as both a moisturizer and sunscreen, but because it is so light, in the winter, I will probably have to use it over another moisturizer.
