It's light and totally oil free. Sometimes it could be a bit too dry: I used it with acne treatment at a time, and it turned out to be very dry. Otherwise it's just alright. There is a bit white in the first 15 minutes after applying, but will be absorbed soon. I would recommend this product to others.

This is by far the best sunscreen I've ever tried,I have sensitive acne prone skin and this doesn't cause my skin to breakout. What's great about it also is that unlike most sunscreens who tend to be on the viscous side and leaves a white film on my skin, ELTA UV MD CLEAR is clear and it glides on easily to my skin. I highly recommend this lotion!

Elta MD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46
I have tried many SPF's for the face and this one is actually not that bad, and has become one of my 'go-to's'. It's not that greasy and smelly as with most high-SPF face moisturizers. I'm currently using SkinCeuticals SPF 20 (the one that J.Lo uses) and I don't like the smell of it and it's only SPF20! EltaMD doesn't have a strong zinc-y smell to it and it moisturizes enough so that by mid-morning to lunch you're not greasy-faced. This would be a good SPF to use all year around whereas SkinCeuticals SPF 20 would be good during the winter months to give you that extra moisture.

Effective, but not greasy
I live in Florida, travel out west and have fair to medium skin. I have grown up trying various sunscreens, but would stop (mistake) using them because they were too greasy. If the wind blew your hair often the hair would stay stuck on your face. Not a good look! Irritating as well. Elta MD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 is not greasy. It is like using a light moisturizer. I use it in place of mine every morning. Broad spectrum is another plus. Higher altitudes means higher exposure to UVA and UVB. It provides great protection. I sometimes couple it with a sunscreen powder. Great product.
