only sunscreen I can use
I have very sensitive skin and have had the hardest time finding a suitable sunscreen that won't break me out or cause a dermatitis. I actually have to avoid products with SPF. I've deducted it's the titanium, and my dermatologist friend confirmed that it can cause cystic acne. She recommended EltaMD, and I'm so glad she did! This sunscreen is amazing. I apply either right out of the shower or over the EltaMD AM lotion. My skin looks fantastic after. My mom even tried it and was amazed at how well her skin looked after - kindof glowing, which is the finely milled zinc. I then apply my makeup without any issues. Best of all, I've had no breakouts and my skin actually looks better! I'm in the process of switching my skincare to EltaMD.

best facial sunscreen for me
I have had acne for a long time and have always used some type of moisturizer with spf after putting on my morning topical medicine. Recently (last 1-2 years), I started having intense burning in my eyes, where by the end of the day it was literally difficult to see, and after lots of trial and error, I learned that it was likely from the sunscreens, which had all been chemical sunscreens and contained avobenzone and this was likely the culprit (its in many products, including Jergens and Cetaphil lotions with sunscreen). So, then I tried CeraVe, which had a "physical" sunscreen, which didn't irritate my eyes, but it didn't absorb into my skin, so I had white patches all over my face. Can't go to work like that! Finally, the elta MD was recommended to me by a dermatologist friend, and it somehow has clear physical sunscreen. After all that I have tried, this is definitely the best one and worth the cost!

Wonderful product
For awhile I avoided adding sunscreen into my daily routine because it was usually was thick, smelly and made my face breakout. I then tried some mineral products but even though I have fair skin, the product left a white coating and didn't sink in well. Once it did sink in, it felt like my skin had a mask on. So I continued the search. I kept reading reviews of this product in various magazines so I gave it a try. They were right, it is a great product! It isn't too thick, it feels more like a normal face lotion. I didn't break out. I felt like my skin could breath. Due to my fair skin, I appreciate the high SPF and all around protection this provides. I highly recommend this product!

Good but not for dark skin
I got this from my dermatologist office. It's a thick cream type and it leaves a white residue on my olive/deep skin. I use less product and tap tap tap for it to absorb. The packaging is perfect

Dark Skin Favorite
My Fitzpatrick skin type is V and any time my skin gets damaged, it over produces a lot of melanocytes. As a result, hyperpigmentation. This is the only sunscreen that works amazingly on my dark skin. It makes my products more effective. My acne is non-existent. Hyperpigmentation has been severely reduced in a quarter of the time it takes for normal pigmentation to occur, incredible! Does not leave that annoying white cast on my skin. Glides on smoothly and does not burn my eyes. Pump mechanism is highly functional (hope it never changes), it is not messy and you'll never have to shake or struggle with the bottle to get product out. This sunscreen also eliminates my redness around my nose area and above my mouth. It also helps the dry areas around my mouth area. The only thing I don't like about this product it that it does leave a minor shine on my oily skin. But that's a small price to pay for sun protection. I put a little powder foundation to take away the shine (Bare Minerals SPF powder foundation). All in all, if you're black or dark skinned, oily or dry skin with acne, this sunscreen is for you. -Fiamma, a future dermatologist.

Great high-SPF protection for sensitive skin
I use this over my moisturizer to get great daily SPF-protection for my sensitive, dry skin. I was referred to this by a friend who is a high-end, luxury cosmetic junkie. Any expensive serums, etc. you have heard of, she's probably tried. Compared to other products that she uses, this is quite the "steal" for 1.7 ounces to use on the face. We (my friend and I) both use Retin-A so are also keen to use high SPF-protection that will not further irritate or dry our skin, and this is the best I have found for those purposes. I love that I can purchase this online from Derm Store as an authorized retailer for Elta MD (I called Elta MD directly to confirm this.)
