Great for Pregnant Women
I am 8 months pregnant and was unaware of some of the harmful ingredients in my previous sunscreen that claimed to be "organic". This product was recommended to me by my dermatologist who also confirmed with my OB. I love this product for before and after pregnancy and it is lightweight. This thing is literally amazing! I have never like wearing sunscreen and I'm starting to because of my acne scars. The longer I'm under the sun without sunscreen, the darker my acne scars will get, so I started look into getting one. My first sunscreen was SuperGoop and definitely not a big fan of that because it made my face super shiny, then I found EltaMD. Best product I've discovered this year
This product has become an absolute must in my beauty arsenal. I have fairly oily skin for an old lady. I use retinols which makes my skin sensitive at times and many other sunscreens burn for a few minutes after I apply. Elta MD UV Clear is the best!
I have been using Elta MD sunscreen for a few years now, first being introduced to the product at the plastic surgeons office. The R.N. recommended that I use the Elta MD products as she noticed that I had some melasma around my cheek areas. I started with the tinted UV protector, but after finishing the bottle, I switched over to the clear. My skin is olive toned and tints sometimes do not agree with my coloring so the clear was the best choice for me in the long run. All I can say is that this is my favorite UV protector ever! Being that it has zinc oxide and other natural core ingredients, makes it even better. I am a person who does not like using chemical based products in my home or on my body, so I do whatever I can to eliminate such products..

Good SPF Protection
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 is a solid product that provides excellent SPF protection. It does not cause my oily / sensitive / combo skin any issues at all. I love that it eventually dries down to a matt finish, but it does take a while to dry which delays my make-up application. I take a way 2 stars because this sunscreen has the word "Clear" in the title and it is not clear for a person with dark skin such as myself. The zinc in the product leaves a white cast on my face which is difficult for me to cover with make-up. I can not use this sunscreen on make-up free days. My search continues. I would recommend this to my friends with fair complexions. Also this sunscreen is rather difficult to remove. I sometimes still have a white cast on my skin after washing my face. I have to remove using the double cleanse method.
