No sun spots for me!
A dermatologist recommended this to me after I have been using a sunscreen which I wasn't a fan of and I am shocked at how low maintenance this sunscreen is. Besides leaving my skin a tad oily, I don't have a white cast if I blend it in right, it moisturizes my face and sits well under makeup. So far, so good. It has great SPF protection as well.

Disappointing - Bad Reaction
I switched to Elta MD sunscreens this summer after my department store brand sunscreens did a number on my skin. I experimented with UV Physical, Elements, Replenish, am and pm Therapy and have had great results with no adverse skin reactions. I also purchased the UV Clear untinted and tinted from Dermstore but was hesitant to use until now because of octinoxate. After reading countless reviews on how great UV Clear is on acne-prone and sensitive skin, I tried it for the first time last week. My skin stung for about 15 minutes, which did not occur with the Elta MD physical sunscreens. Despite not being in the sun, my skin was red and felt sunburned the next day (even my eyelids were painful and red). I also began to experience red bumps out all over my face (I wasn't sure if they were pimples or hives). After my skin calmed down, I tried it one more time. My skin stung for about 30 minutes and my skin was even more irritated and inflamed the next day. Since then, I've suffered from breakouts and my skin is flaky, leathery, and sloughing off like a bad sun burn. I learned my lesson the hard way. Fortunately, the Elta MD physical sunblocks agree with my skin and I will continue to use those products.

I loved it

Should not have sales tax applied

Love This Sunscreen!
I tried this as a sample at my local Skin Clinic and I fell in love. The only issue is I have to rub it in my hands for a while, so it won't leave a purple cast and the packaging could be better. Other than that, it's hydrating to my face and doesn't irritate it.

Wanted to LOVE it - kind of tacky
I wanted to LOVE this product as I do the Lotion but am feeling it goes on kind of tacky as opposed to smooth like the Lotion. I'm still waiting to see if the "clear" part with lactic acid will help over all to warrant the dual claim of UV protection and clear skin. I'll update my review in a month or so.
