Disappointed - pimples everywhere
I received a product sample with my order and was so excited to try this recovery serum. My skin has been dry lately and I thought this would help. I applied the serum before bed, then again in the morning. By the afternoon I had multiple pimples and bumps on my cheekbones, chin, and forehead. Sometimes products with dimethicone will give me a few bumps so I try to avoid it, but I’ve never had such a bad reaction like this with anything. (I didn’t even think to look to see if it had dimethicone but it’s the 5th ingredient!). I have good skin, usually very clear and not super reactive - but this product really didn’t agree with my skin.

I use this every time I get a peel or microneedling. It helps to soothe my skin and hydrate it. I initially got a sample but loved it so much I bought the full product.

Really Nice Serum
I'm not usually one for serums under moisturizers but this one has really been great. I have sensitive, acne prone and dry skin, this serum feels like it's really doing its job supporting my skin barrier. Would definitely recommend. It does smell a bit odd yes, but it will dissipate especially if you are layering products.

Won't be repurchasing
I LOVE EltaMD's UV Clear sunscreen and items from their skincare line that I've tried. This product, however, was meh. I liked that it sinked in quick and didn't irritate my sensitive skin. But it wasn't very hydrating and had a slight smell that I wasn't fond of. I will not be purchasing this product again.

I Will Not Be Without This Serum
I have rosacea as well as allergies to preservatives used in most serums. This only seems to benefit my skin without any irritation. I use it twice a day, one or two pumps and my skin looks better. Extremely happy with this product.

Works well
My skin is very sensitive to new ingredients and I sometimes end up with small whiteheads when trying a new product - this did not happen at all with this product. It applies very smoothly and feels nice and plumping, but does not really add a ton of moisture to my skin like other products I've used in the past. The scent is an earthy type of scent, kind of like leaves, but its nice and goes away soon after. My skin doesn't look any better or worse since using this, so I don't know if I'll repurchase but I do appreciate that it does not irritate my skin. If your skin is really dry, this alone might not help much. You'll probably need someone heavier on top.

I'm a huge fan of EltaMD products, but this one is just mediocre. Has an odd glue-like smell and only mildly hydrates my skin. I plan to use it up, but won't repurchase.

Great Product
I am on my second bottle of this and am a fan. This was a huge help when my skin was getting acclimated to tretinoin, it helped save my skin barrier. At first I used this every morning and night (at night I used it as a buffer). Now I use it every morning before I apply my moisturizer and am good to go. I have sensitive skin and allergies and have had no issues with this product. My skin is combination and acne prone. I have not noticed a scent with this and the texture is a thin serum that is clear. Not sticky and does not pill.

A great serum for my older complexion
I like the pump that puts out just enough serum to cover my face. My complexion is smoother and calm using this product, along with their other products. It has a matte-like finish that does not clog my pores or cause breakouts. I am 68 years old and have started to use an EltaMD regimen, including their cleanser, toner, skin recovery serum and skin recovery light moisturizer, and tinted clear broad spectrum SPF 46. I love how my skin is not reddish or dry anymore, and clean and clear.
