A three-phase, transformative formula with an advanced cleansing complex that is proven to remove physical & waterproof sunscreen, damaging pollution while also removing excess oil, mascara and waterproof foundation. This mess-free formula starts out as a gel, transforms into a silky oil upon application, and then a milky emulsion with the addition of water to melt away impurities without clogging pores.
Use it daily to gently yet effectively cleanse skin while preserving the barrier for healthy looking skin.
Apply a moderate amount of Oil-in-gel cleanser to dry skin. Massage-in the gel gently and evenly to face and neck. The gel will transform into a silky oil, effectively removing water-resistant sunscreen, long-wear makeup, and damaging pollution accumulated throughout the day.
Emulsify the formula into a milky texture with the addition of lukewarm water, melting away impurities. Rinse off with water and gently pat skin dry with a soft towel.
If you wear makeup and sunscreen regularly or have oily, combination or acne-prone skin, you can choose to double cleanse. First use the Oil-in-Gel Cleanser, then cleanse your skin again with a water-based cleanser such as the Foaming Facial Cleanser.

A Great Gel Cleanser
I love this cleanser. It removes make-up and leaves my skin soft. It does not dry or irritate my skin. I like that you massage a small amount to dry skin and then add water to create a gentle foam. Then it rinses off easily. I live in a dry climate and this really keeps my skin soft and clean.

A Wonderful Gel Cleanser
I have been using EltaMD sunscreen for years and decided to try some of their other products. I liked the idea that this cleanser has some oil in it so it does not dry out your skin. It easily removes make up and rinses off easily. I like that you apply it to your skin and then rinse it off without having to wet your skin first. It makes it easy and quick to cleanse your face at the end of the day.

Great for sensitive skin!
I have not been disappointed by the Elta MD Brand! This is my second product from them. The first was the Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Sunscreen that I use daily. My daily go to cleanser is the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This works great for my sensitive skin, but sometimes I feel like I need something more geared towards helping remove excess oils that sometimes collect around my chin area without drying out or burning my face. I saw Dr. Alexis Stephens promoting this product as a great luxury facial cleanser with added hydration and nourishing ingredients. I know the brand so I felt safe testing it out. I was not disappointed! The product does exactly as described. It begins as a light oil you massage into your face, and with the addition of water, turns it into a silky cleanser that hydrates and leaves face feeling clean and refreshed. It's been 3 weeks now and so far so good. I now use this at night for the best cleansing, and use my Cetaphil in the morning. Making my next purchase!

A good non-drying facial cleanser!
I have had oily skin most of my life but recently my skin has become very dry. I have been searching for a good cleanser that will remove make-up but that does not over dry my skin and I finally found it. I have been using EltaMD sunscreen for years and started trying some of their other products. This cleanser is great at really cleaning my skin and leaving it soft and conditioned. I highly recommend this product!
