AMAZING!!!!

I'm currently on Accutane, which is drying my skin out like crazy! Before trying this moisturizer, which was recommended by my dermatologist, I had tried every moisturizer you could think of...spending tons of money for absolutely no reason. With the other moisturizers, it seemed that my skin would literally soak them up instantly and then I was flaking and peeling again as if I had never applied anything. This is the first moisturizer I tried that actually kept me moisturized throughout the day without having to reapply. I have a super shiny face once I apply it but the shininess doesn't last long and my face is nicely hydrated throughout the day. I'm going to continue to use this product even after I've stopped taking Accutane...it's well worth every single penny!

My favorite night cream

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have very sensitive skin and use tretinoin cream twice a week . I can't use moisturizers that contain essential oils, squalene, or nut oils because they irritate my eyes. This is the first deep moisturizer that I have found that truly works and doesn't cause any skin or eye irritation. I use it over my tretinoin cream in the evening. I hope they never change the formula.

favorite nighttime moisturizer

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

For my dry skin, this is the best basic nighttime moisturizer. As far as I can tell, it has no active ingredients. I started using this product years ago when my facial skin was very dry and irritated for various reasons. To help my skin recover, for 2-3 months, this was the only product I used after washing my face and before going to bed. Yes, my skin healed and I have been loyal ever since. Now I use it as a buffer in my retinol product regimen. Works great for me this way too since retinol alone on my skin causes dryness and flaking. I will continue to repurchase.

meh... no big deal...

The moisturiser is kinda just a glorified vaseline tube... Works well to keep moisture in, but you can just use off brand petroleum jelly for a fraction of the cost...

A must for chemically sensitized skin

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

If you use tretinoin and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) as I do, you may often find that your skin becomes raw and irritated. When my skin has had enough, I often find that this (or plain petroleum jelly) is the only thing that my skin can tolerate. This is better than plain petroleum, however, as it spreads better over damp skin (keeping the skin moist helps to expedite healing). I prefer to use distilled water under it (so as to avoid the chlorine). One thing: I noticed that my last tube ordered from this site had only petroleum and paraffin listed (the ingredient PVP Eicosene Copolymer that Paula Begoun notes on her site as a potential irritant was absent). On Elta M.D.'s site, this is also shown to currently be the case-yet Dermstore is still listing the PVP Eicosene Copolymer in their ingredient list. Perhaps this needs to be updated?

Skin doctor recommended moisturizer

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

this was recommended to me by my doctor who wears it around his office to keep his skin moisturized. I have been using it overnight and whenever I spend a day at home with no makeup. It is the best I've ever found!

Good for very sensitive skn

I have rosacea and this product seals in moisture after I wash my face. My face, which used to be normal, is extra dry in the nose and cheek area. This is where I apply this product.

Better than Vaseline, but not as good as serums

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

This product doesn't aggravate my mild rosacea. But it's not as good a moisturizer as other creams or serums. it leaves my face greasy, so I can only use it at night.

very moisturizing as promised

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The consistency did surprise me, it's like Vaseline. Amazingly though it does not break me out. Not sure if I would recommend for oily, acne prone skin though. I love that it has a 0 rating from EWG, meaning no chemicals.
