EltaMD Moisturizer delivers long-lasting moisture to bring relief to dry, peeling and flaking skin. The soothing formula seals in moisture and protect sensitive skin conditions including eczema and sunburns. It also helps promote skin healing after chemical peels and laser treatments. For extra moisture replenishment, it can be used at night.
Apply daily to moistened skin. Apply a thin coat to the skin and allow to penetrate the skin layers. After two minutes, gently pat off excess. Use sparingly, begin with no more than the size of a pearl on your fingertip.

Love but use sparingly
Just as the directions say, use a very, very small amount. I have used this at night but do find my face sticking to my pillowcase! It's incredibly gentle though, and by morning it has been absorbed (either by skin or by the pillowcase!?) and skin feels soft and smooth.

A Simply Wonderful Solution
My dermatologist recommended this product for me to use post-Fraxel treatment. This product is highly moisturizing and is although seemingly "thick" actually quite sheer when applied. I have very fair, sensitive skin and this product has been absolutely perfect for me, and too, does not clog my pores.

My must have skincare product!
My favorite product! This doesn't irritate my skin and a little goes a long way. I wear this at night. I bought this originally from elta, but the product was damaged and shipped it back. I ended up buying it from my dermatologists office. It has a texture similar to vaseline and a little goes a long way. The instructions say to apply a pearl size and then blot it off after a few minutes. At night I leave it on so that my skin will retain moisture throughout the night. It calms irritation from using topical acne products as well.

Amazingly hydrating!
I did not know what to expect with this moisturizer, but I'm going to be completely honest and say that when I first opened the jar, I was off putted by the way it look. It just looked scary and intense; similar to vaseline but not really. I was nervous and skeptical but it feels SO amazing on the skin. It does leave or cause extra moisture or dew on your skin but it does say to dab it off, it's really no big deal. In the dry desert, it's honestly not a problem. It makes my face feel cooler. Also, since the ingredients are just vaseline and paraffin, when I put this on my face at night, I make sure to get my lips as well. I also realized that this moisturizer does wonders on the feet (of course I use a spatula to avoid feet germs going on my face)! I can't say enough great things about this moisturizer! It's a big tub and a little goes a long way. Highly reccomend!

Didn't work with my specific skin type
It didn't really help with my skin issue, and clogged up my pores a bit. My dermatologist actually advised me to quit using it since it was so heavy and no results to the dryness.

Heavy Moisturizer
I decided to try this moisturizer for night time application. I am still getting used to it but I like the texture and how the product feels when applying it. Based on the size of the jar and the amount needed for an application, it was last a long time. Be sure to read the directions carefully and wipe off any residue after two minutes or it will be quite oily.
