Different & Thick
This face wash is different from what I am used to. Only use one pump because the foam gets quite thick. It does a great job cleaning and makes my skin feels fresh though. Have not experienced any adverse or negatives effects so it feels gentle but effective.

This Has Changed My Life! Please please read!
Please read if you are a prisoner of acne! I have struggled with acne my whole life. I'm now 32 and sadly I can say that in all the years of having acne it has made me so unconfident and sad, and has made me feel so isolated at times as I'm so embarrassed to be 32 and have such bad skin that even makeup won't cover -just accentuates. I have extremelyyy sensitive skin, we're talking everything breaks me out, burns my skin, makes me way to oily or overdrives and leaves me red and with itching burning raw skin, causes rosacea or eczema flares, etc. - basically the worst luck you could have people! I've been on every medication topically and orally and nothing has ever helped, or it does help temporarily but it's all so strong that my skin can't bear it after a month and I am left with a face as red and dry as a glass of bad wine. In addition to medications and prescriptions, I've tried diet changes (I'm paleo for the last 5 years for health reasons), facials, every single beauty brand out there sold whether that's from a drug store or ulta or Sephora or Tula to then trying dermatologists after dermatologist, to the whole coconut oil and wash cloth washing only thing to every home remedy there is - well you name it, I've literally used or tried it and nothing has worked. I've spent countless hours and money on things that only leave me sad angry and empty and worse than where I started. Anyway, I am now in my second pregnancy and my skin was reacting unlike anything I've ever experienced - the biggest cystic acne you've ever seen covered my entire face and neck, yet I also had a bad flare with my rosacea, had these weird pin head sized white heads all over my forehead and on chin, AND had the worst flare with eczema on my eyelids and cheeks. So basically the worst of everything possible all at once. I went to a new derm after crying for weeks straight (both of embarrassment and discomfort) and he said that everything I was doing was literally everything I shouldn't be doing and to start using the entire EltaMD line. He called me out for over exfoliating (I am the queen of scrubs and masks), picking/squeezing at black/white/cystic zits, using way to strong of topicals (I had no idea because I trusted what previous derms have prescribed), not using the right or enough moisturizer, was washing my face with way to hot of water which was causing tons of irritation and making my skin sweat, tight and I was literally burning my skin barrier away and didn't even know it (like what?! Who knew?! Not this chick!), not drinking enough water, etc etc etc. I was truly so embarrassed in the appointment because I've never had a doctor call me out on picking or squeezing (id always deny it if they asked) yet shocked with how much harm *I* was causing which was what he thought was a major part of the acne (besides temporary hormones from pregnancy) and I wasn't actually helping my problem. He said to purchase the below products I'm using and made me promise him that I would not touch my face even for the most ready to pop pimple and to give it three months to see a change. I gave him my word and here we are! Now to my review lol. Currently using everything strictly from Elta. Morning Routine Foaming Facial Cleanser - message in for 1 minute and with Luke warm water *not hot water!* Elta Toner on a cotton pad - I dab not wipe and even use this under eye without any sensitivity Elta Skin Barrier Serum Elta Eye renewal cream (doesn't burn under or eye lids or travel into eyes) Elta Elta AM Lotion *see below note of sunscreen* If I have to go somewhere important (but really where - cough covid), I wear MACs mineral powder foundation Night Routine Foaming Facial Cleanser message in for 1 minute and with Luke warm water Elta Toner Elta Eye renewal cream (doesn't burn under or eye lids or travel into eyes) Topical Clindamycin Azecilic Acid Gel from my dermatologist - let dry Elta PM Lotion Friends. It has been two months of following this routine strictly (morning and night - and I have actually for real kept my promise and not squeezed or picked anything not even once) and my skin is truly like one of the women I used to envy. I'm not even embellishing even a little. It is so clear (all of the cystic acne are gone, the weird little hard white zits/bumps are completely gone, blackheads are literally vanished, pores are smaller), hydrated and soft but not oily at all - rather I have an actual glow because it's hydrated, not red or dry or painful/uncomfortable, eczema is gone, rosacea is completely cleared, the texture is so much more smooth, my dark spots have faded dramatically (this is also in part due to the azelaic acid gel prescribed by my Derm), some of my acne scars are smaller and less sunken in, I mean my skin is seriously night and day different than it was. I've had no new breakouts at all - not even one slightly clogged pore on this face! I also don't exfoliate at all anymore as directed by my derm because the Elta face soap does it for me naturally without using anything harsh to do so like the scrubs I was obsessed with - in fact I can't even imagine using a scrub because it seems so harsh now. I do have some broken capillaries from years ago and those are way less red and once I get them lasered I can't wait to see the difference of my skin. Even my husband (who I had to convince the price of all of this was worth it since I've tried a million other products hehe he does have a point there...) and family has noticed and commented on the difference of not only the acne being gone but how healthy and hydrated/plump my skin has become. I'm so much happier and feel so much more confident, I literally tear up at the difference each morning/night and I'll honestly never go back to my old ways. I'm actually completely sickened by the thought of even squeezing anything on my face. My skin is so hydrated I never realized how dry and painful it actually was until now. I'm now an EltaMD customer for life. This line is super pricey, but a little of everything goes a longggg way so i foresee it lasting a long time. So grateful for my derm for recommending it and so grateful to Elta for their products. Thank you for changing my life! Note: I do use the Elta UV Clear sunscreen after my toner when I know I'll be outside for a long time/taking my son for a walk. Otherwise I do not wear it everyday as I'm a stay at home mom and I'm inside all day due to the cold weather in chicago and covid. I truly hope this review helps just at least one person! If you're struggling with anything like I did, please consider trying this line. My doc said that if I couldn't afford it all at once, to just start with the face wash and AM/PM lotions. I wish you luck if you're struggling, I know your pain friend.

Really clean without drying
This is by far my favorite facial cleanser. It is slightly different in that you need to leave it on for 30ish seconds in order for it to take effect, but it's so worth it. It cleans off all traces of makeup and product without leaving your skin feeling dry.
