EltaMD's Foaming Facial Cleanser is an oil-free, pH-balanced formula that gently cleanses without irritating or drying your skin. Utilizing Ultra-Fine Self-Foaming Technology, this foaming cleanser deep cleans your skin easily removing pollutants and impurities. Enriched with bromelain, this pineapple-derived enzyme leaves skin looking and feeling smoother and softer.

Good for sensitive skin
I purchase this for my teen daughter. She has extremely sensitive, acne prone skin. It is one of the only cleansers we've found that doesn't irritate or over dry her skin. Great for her. I am mid-forties with combo skin. I do not care for it as it seems to leave a bit of residue, but that may be the nature of cleansers designed for more sensitive skin. Love other elta-md products- especially facial sunscreens! Worth a try if you have trouble tolerating other "normal" face washes.

My favorite cleanser for dry skin!
I have very dry skin, and I find most cleansers and face washes dry my skin out. As soon as I wash my face, my skin feels incredibly tight, and it's almost unbearable. I've tried multiple types, from drugstore brands, to very expensive kinds. After doing research online and reading a lot of reviews and blogs, I gave this cleanser a try - Elta MD. That was several years ago, and it has been my #1 face wash ever since! It cleans my skin, but I no longer get the tightness, or immediately dry, and uncomfortable feeling that I've experienced with many other cleansers. It's also wonderful that it is not incredibly expensive, so it is affordable. It also lasts quite a long time, as you don't need very much to wash your face. I would definitely recommend it to anybody that has sensitive, dry, or picky skin!

Better cleansers out there
I bought this on whim since I love Elta's sunscreen product, but I do not love this cleanser. Pros: it foams up nicely (it is a very thick foam) and a little goes a long way. It is also gentle enough that I can use it after chemical peels and microneedling. Cons: It leaves a soapy residue on my skin no matter how long I rinse it. Also my skin doesn't feel as clean as it does with other products. I'll finish the bottle but will not be repurchasing this. Back to SkinMedica cleaners for me.

Just Amazing
I tried several cleansers and was getting frustrated as none worked well. I have sensitive and dry skin. I needed something gentle, but effective, and non-drying. I love this cleanser. It's so effective. I love that if it doesn't foam, you know to do a second round to get a complete cleanse. My face feels so clean and smooth after this without it being too aggressive. I keep a back-up so I never run out (something i've never done before this product). I use this every night so I can't comment on how it is twice a day but once a day is great!
