Mixed Feelings
I bought the Barrier Renewal Complex (BRC) to restore my skin during summer. My skin must've gotten out of balance from sleeping under the air conditioner every night, oops. While using the BRC for the first 2 weeks, I noticed that my skin was still feeling super dry and irritated by the end of the day. So I can say the BRC really did not comfort my skin. I ended up purchasing a hydrating serum, since my skin still felt dry and irritated, and layered the serum under the BRC during the day. This combination finally balanced my skin. I really wanted to like the BRC because of the high ratings and product claims. However great it is for some people, it did not live up to the claims for me. Also, I found the texture of the cream to be heavy on silicone, which I do not care for. When applying, there is a bit more "slip" than I'd like. I always felt that the cream sat on my skin rather than absorbed.

This does not disappoint, it does EVERYTHING it claims. My skin has transformed from start and just gets better. My skin glows and looks so firm, plump and bouncy!! It locks in all my serums,moisturizers etc. which makes a major impact at keeping all the good stuff in. I honestly cannot praise this enough!! I've also seen dramatic improvement after I derma roll. Like most Elta MD products, this one delivers. I use it daily and notice that my skin does look better. It is not particularly moisturizing, but I live in the desert and apart from Vaseline, nothing is completely moisturizing.

I use this product every day and night. I am in my late 20s. I have some rosacea. My skin is pretty sensitive, so it feels nice to use this product after exfoliation. I love the Elta MD sunscreens. Sometimes, EltaMD sunscreen does not go well with some of the daily moisturizer, but because this is from the same company, I don't see those problems. Love it! (I use a lot of exfoliating products for my skin so it was hard to find a moisturizer that keeps my skin hydrated without irritants, and this seems to work amazing for me!)
