The missing link!
I spray toner (Indie Lee) to mist my face after cleansing, but when it comes to applying a liquid exfoliant, nothing is better than these silky pads! I'll never go back to scratchy cotton rounds, which invariably leave fibers on my face (or in wet nail polish). If you use Biologique Recherche p50, these pads are perfect; you only need a few drops of that liquid gold (or any toner/exfoliant) and the pad beautifully distributes the product on your skin.

Absorb too much product
These are lint-free but they steal your product. There is no easy way to split them, so what you see is what you get. I used them with Biologique Recherche P50 and found that I was wasting a lot of P50 and spending a lot on premium cotton pads. They are also 'one-sided' so if you like to get the most bang for your buck, pass on these and go for sterile gauze or the Koh Gen Doh pads.

Way better than cotton balls or tissues for applying toner and removing eye makeup. I love these- so soft, lint free, and they don't absorb tons of product or pull on your skin. Never scratchy or harsh like the texture of cleansing wipes are sometimes. Much bigger than I expected, too- really good value!

These versatile pillow puffs are indispensable! Plus, there is an unexpected benefit. They actually provide the best, gentlest exfoliation that my skin loves, if used with a product that has enough slip, for lack of a better word. I have combo, sensitive, acne-prone skin that is easily irritated. I used these years ago with DHC Acerola toner and loved the feel of my skin afterward. My skin care regimen has changed several times since then, but I have always remembered how silky these felt on my face. Recently, I went through a horrible breakout and had stopped all forms of exfoliation - physical, chemical - to let my skin calm down and heal. My skin was doing better, but I could tell it needed some type of mild exfoliation. I was trying to decide what to do when I started using these pads again to remove makeup from my entire face using Bioderm Sensibio H2O. Suddenly, my skin had that same feeling as with the toner I had used all those years ago; smooth and soft, like I had just used the perfect exfoliator! I now do this about 3-4 times a week, on the days I wear makeup, and it is all my skin needs to stay silky smooth and blemish-free. These cause no irritation and leave zero lint. I will never let myself run out of these for as long as I live!

A very good choice if you want a little exfoliation
I recommend combining this cotton with toners when you want just a little exfoliation, since the touch of this cotton is just for this purpose. (In contrast, the Shiseido facial cotton is too soft and silky for this purpose.)

Very gentle and won't leave residue
DHC's Silky Cotton pads are indeed very gentle and soft on the skin. I use this to apply toner and I love how smooth and non-tugging this is. It also won't leave cotton residue like other drugstore brand cotton pads usually do. The only downside to this is that this pad is quite thick so it soaks up quite a bit of product. I wish it were thinner in the middle so I can just use a smaller amount of product. Otherwise, this would be a 5-star product.
